I just received an invite to the DTD event at the garden city hotel. I'll be going the 30th. Hope they will be offering similar deals that were offered at previous events.

What were some of the deals offered at previous events? And do we know if the DTD store will be opening that weekend or is this a preview.

From what i read in other posts the store will be opening in september this event will give a preview of the store and there will be "event only special offers" which probably means a greater point discount than they are currently offering.

I just received the invitation as well. Only thing is....I live in Massachusetts! I did not receive an invitation for the recent event in Boston....go figure!

I just received an invite also, I live in Maryland and can't seem to talk my DH into making the trip, I guess I'll have to sit this one out.

Got my invite too! Heading there on Monday, 8/31. We are in NJ so it should take about an hour. I don't think we'll be adding on but the kids will have a great time.

I received my invite this morning. Debating on whether to go or not. Do you think if I don't RSVP right away that it will fill up and do think it will be like a Welcome Home Wednesday? I am looking forward to the Doorway to Dreams to open at Roosevelt Field. HELP!

I think you should RSVP to save a spot. There is a place on the site where you can cancel if you have too. Does anyone know what goes on at these events? I'm going on Monday but no kids in tow. Will it be fun for grown-ups?

I could talk the hubby into taking that drive....Long Island is a different story... much further away.

Am going on Saturday at 10 AM. Bringing my Mother & Dad I live 20 mins away in Queens, NY.

I am not sure what's going to happen at the event, but i hope it will be fun and also hoping they will give out some dvc free stuff.

I'm PSYCHED for this! Bringing DW, my 3 year old and 2 year old from Staten Island. They'll love seeing Mickey and Minnie. Leaving the newborn at home with MIL. There is supposed to be activities for the kids (4 and older). If my son wants to do it and they allow him in, I'm sure he'll love it.
