Does anyone know the following:
a) how thick are the main door, bathroom door, and sliding closet doors?
b) where do you buy these size hooks?
c) does anyone use the 3M Command J hooks and does housekeeping mind if you use them?

The hooks we bring from home don't fit.

Thank you.

If you really need hooks, by all means use the 3M Command hooks. I've used them for years and never had an issue with removal. Whether or not housekeeping would remove them, though, I don't know.

We have tried the standard-sized plastic hooks for over the door, but the DVC doors are too thick for them. I use the suction cup hooks on tile and other glass surfaces. They work particularly well on the glass surrounds of the walk-in showers. We use them primarily for drying swimwear or towels. We have never used the 3M hooks -- I would be afraid of causing some damage, although I have never had that problem with them in my own home. I wish they had more hooks in the bathrooms.

I also use the suction cup hooks (snap hooks) in the bathroom on the shower wall (tile). I wouldn't use command hooks because they can damage the finish of the wall.

I use the 3M Command hooks. Been doing it for a few years and housekeeping has never removed them and I haven't had them cause any damage.
