Don't you hate it when you miss a Disney Transport bus by a matter of seconds?

The morning my Dad & I went to Disney MGM Stuidos (when they had the morning Extra Magic Hour) we must have been cursed. Leaving from the Contemporary we saw the Disney MGM bus pull away & we missed it by a matter of seconds. We knew it was the MGM bus because, the next bus that showed up was for the Animal Kingdom. So we had waited about 15-20 minutes for the next bus, but what can you do? Leaving MGM once again we had missed the bus back to the Contemporary by a matter of seconds. 1st we had to find out what station number we had to walk to & as we were walking we saw the bus, so we started to run. However as we were running, the bus pulled away. Another factor to us missing the bus is that we went to the photo shop to see a pic taken by a Photopass Cast Member. If we did not wait to see it, chances are we would have made the bus. However right next to us there was a bus going to the TTC. So we got on there, got to the TTC & took the Monorail back to the Contemporary. It took a bit longer going that way, but it was better then waiting in the sun for at least 20 minutes for another Contemporary bus to arrive.

Anyway I was wondering do any of you have stories of missing a Disney Transport bus by a matter of seconds & how much did it impact your day & any plans you may have had?

Oh, it happens all of the time, especially when you are in a hurry. Last trip we stayed at POR and had ADR's at Cindy's Castle. We just missed the MK bus and the next 8-10 busses that came by were for MGM, AK, and Epcot. I finally had to get on one of the other busses and ask if a MK bus was coming.... it was really weird... each bus that would make the corner we would think would finally be the MK bus.... nope.... lol

Even with some of the frustrations, I will take riding Disney transport any day over driving... I don't mind the wait times, the crowed buses, etc... the only problem I have are the people who just walk up and get on the bus, not paying any attention to all of the people who have been standing there.. this happens especially at resorts without chains to line you up and DTD.

Have a good night (morning).

I wouldn't mind it so much if I knew it wasn't going to wait for me before I started running from afar and gotten all sweaty.

Surely Imagineering could come up with some kind of sign board back at the turnstiles telling when the next departure is for each destination.

Yep it's a real pain. It's even worse for me because I can get there while the bus is still loading but because they will only load wheelchair guests first I sometimes watch others board a half empty bus and the bus drive away while I wait for the next bus.
