Don't want to waste valuable theme park time?

I'm in a dilemma about character breakfasts!

We've got to do one cause it's my lil bro's first time, and i wouldn't miss it for the world, but i don't want to waste theme park time. There isn't one at our hotel(AKL) and i want to see Donald, so i thought we'd go to the Animal Kingdom as it's close and I've heard people on the boards talking about 8.10 ps.

Are these 8.10 ones when the park opens at 8am or are they before park opening?

If before, are they the earliest ones?

If they are and the park opens at 9am, is there enough time to eat and enjoy, without wolfing it down and still be one of the first in the park?

What other characters are there?

Has anyone else done this one, is it good??

Thanks

Call the telephone number for character dining and see what they say/suggest. I would think that if you are getting a character dining a time before the park opens, then there is a way for you to be let into the park to do the dining experiece. The park would HAVE to be open in such instances.

Terk, where are you? She's really amazing and has helped me with a lot of questions I have had concerning the issues of Disney!

Hi

It's a great breakfast - we loved it!

Donald, Pluto, Daisy & Goofy were there - all in safari gear - also Mickey Mouse came through too - although the servers made a big deal and told us that does not happen often.

I believe 8:05 is the earliest breakfast time and this is when the park opens at 9:00am - they let you in early to walk over to Dino Land.

We had enough time to have breakfast, and we were on Dinosaur by 9:10am - in fact we rode it 4 times in a row because there was no one around.

The servers are funny at this breakfast - they play pranks on the guests. I think your lil' brother would like it.

I agree with the prior post.

Make an 8:10 a.m. PS on a non-early entry day. When the park opens at 9:00 a.m., you will already be at the back of the park.

By the way, if you are going on a EE day, they do not open the back section until 9:00 a.m. anyway.

This charactor breakfast is one of our family favorites. We make it a priority every year. It is truly well done and the food is very good.

Enjoy your trip!!!

You are very brave. My stomach couldn't handle one Dinosaur ride after eating breakfast! :earseek:

Korbs,

Ah, I wouldn't worry about losing to much Theme Park time, there will be plenty of time. Don't forget to use Fast Pass if the lines seem long on those rides that offer it (like Dinosaur or the Safari Ride).

Donald's Breakfastosaurus is an excellent All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Buffet. Want to give your Lil'Brother a surprize? Bring a small, wrapped gift. Ask for the manager when you get in (I always pretend I have to go to the bathroom to get away from the giftee, your brother in this case.) and have them arrange to have one of the charaters bring the gift to your table. He'll love it! :earsboy:

Oh, and above all, relax...you're on holiday!!!!

We love this breakfast! Donald is my younger DS's favorite character, so this breakfast is a must-do for us every trip. It's a lot of fun, great character and CM interaction.

We had a 8:10 PS in December when the park opened at 9. 8:10 was the earliest PS available. A CM walked us back to the restaurant. We took our time eating and were still in the park shortly after 9.

Make your Ps for 8:05. You will be done in plenty of time!!!! It was here that we discovered a great touring plan (even on the sunday of veteran' day weekend) that we always use now.

Eat breakfast-
do dinoland first-

then go to tough to be a bug- just exit dinoland and it's straight ahead. exit left from here and do kali and jungle trek. Now, head to Africa and get FP for the Safari. do the Pangani Forest Trail while waiting for your FP time. After the Safari, see what time the next Lion King show starts.

Have fun! Donald's Breakfast is great! We did it last month and had a great time!
