Trying to find car rental March 6 to March 21, cannot find for less than $850?

Can anyone help me please.

Trying to rent from airport

Thank you

You will find that if you look for rental cars now the price will be very high. I would wait till Feb. That is when the prices drop. Keep an eye out on the transporation thread for discounts that others have found. I find the best deals come out about 2-3 weeks before your trip.
So don't stress they will come down

Try expedia.ca I selected full size.

YIKES $381 is still too high even though its in Can. dollars. I have never rented a full size/mid size for more than $175. and we have made 17 trip to Disney. Or motto is that if a rental is more than $200 we will stick with Disney transportation.

Shelly, You should see the other rates!!!! :scared1:

The above rate includes all taxes ..... It would be interesting to see how low of a rate someone could get!

Completely agree - I am trying to book for end of October, still 3x higher than what I paid for a week last year (and at Christmas!). I'm going to watch and wait until about a month out, since that's when most of the deals are available. Just be patient and don't panic. :goodvibes

I normally would have agreed but I booked mine about six weeks out hoping it would go down.. they've only gone up up up.. tripled in price at around 3 weeks out. Glad I just bit the bullet when I did!

I plugged in the AAA rate with Hertz for March 6-March 21 2012. Not great at all for a compact but less than the $850 you're asking about:

Selected Vehicle
Nissan Versa or similar

1 extra day at 33.71 USD 33.71 USD

For about 14 days you pay $175?

And the "wait" advice. Well it works if things are slow when you go, but if it is busy that can backfire

OP I think we need to know car size you want

For this thread the OP is looking for a two week plus extra day rental, so that's why the estimated prices are so high. I suspect your under $200 guideline is for a weekly rental?

Yes my $175 quote is for a week. In fact for this past trip we took in May when I looked in March for car the rate was HIGH! About two weeks before out trip we got a mid size for the week and paid a total of $86 - I am not kidding. I signed up the free Alamo Insider, used the last minute code of (IG) and Insider coupon AD4015JDN it expires Dec 2011, which can only be used by Insider members, for $45 off to get this great rate.

We want to go again in Nov and I see the rates are high but know that I can wait. THe Alamo last minute deals for my travel period will be released 2 weeks before our trip.

I appreciate the help. I'll try expedia.ca, much better than I was getting.

I know you have to pay right away, but good deal for 2 weeks.
