DON'T Read This TRIP REPORT If You're a Princess Hater!

I want to go with you some day and have Claire be "the friend"....the one who wears Katies old dresses. :rotfl:

LOL - Me too! The 6 of us should all go with our girls at the same time someday :thumbsup2

I was the same way with the 15 day forcast :lmao:

Oh don't worry - it's completely normal to check the weather so early! I mean, if your vacation is soon enough that it's actually ON the 15 day forecast, then it's not too early at all! I'll be doing the same thing in a couple days. :rotfl:

The dress is gorgeous! I'm so looking forward to all of your photos!

I was checking forcasts so early it wasn't even funny when we went! It will be fine, I hope it's perfect for you!

Thanks Carey! I'm hoping I can find new things to photograph this year. I don't want to just do the same ones over again. I do have a few shots in mind that I missed last year, so I'll start with those. Mostly, I'm really looking forward to photographing the Magic, Memories and You show. That will be totally new, and since I love castle-gazing........ I think it will be right up my alley.

Awe! Love the Belle dress too! And I'm hoping for warmer and drier temps for you!!! :littleangel: Last year was way too cold!!!

Many thanks! :goodvibes

That Belle dress is so beautiful and fingers crossed the weather changes and is warm and sunny

Thanks to both of you for the AWESOME wishes! Right now 5 of my days are showing in the 15 day forecast and the rain has been replaced with a few cloudy days, and mostly 70's. OH MY! I wouldn't know how to behave in 70 degree weather at Disney! :lmao: I sure hope they're right!

Whew !! Found this TR last week and FINALLY made it through !

Beautiful pictures (but you knew that) and outstanding costumes !!
Katie is such a doll and a real Disney trooper.
I remember last year as being SO cold, I wasn't there but had friends visiting at the time and I felt SO bad that the weather had to be so cold.
But you 2 certainly made the best of it !

I sure hope you will share your upcoming trip with us with more terrific pics !

We're heading down at some point through Make a Wish .. but not sure when at all. So reading others TR is helping me get through this waiting period. :)
I'm hoping for a spring trip.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Katie really IS a trooper. I was thinking of adding a 3rd night at MVMCP (for a long list of reasons) and asked her what she thought since it will be another long day. She peered over the rim of her glasses and said........... mommo, it's YOU I'm worried about. LOL! :lmao:

I hope you have an amazing and magical Wish Trip. :wizard:

I want to go with you some day and have Claire be "the friend"....the one who wears Katies old dresses. :rotfl:

LOL! How lucky is it that Katie's friend is a perfect few inches shorter than her? I could alter the stuff to fit Katie a second year, but just can't do anything with the length. The length of everything is perfect for her friend, so I'm just making a few adjustments where possible so they fit in the other places too.

I don't recall if I posted this, but the friend just broke her foot :scared1: and will likely be in a wheelchair while at Disney. I've never toured the parks with someone in a wheelchair. My friend is a little concerned that I'll ditch them for moving too slow! :lmao: I did remind her that by then we will have been there a week and ready to slow down a bit!

Anyone with experience with a wheelchair at Disney...... I'd love to hear about it. I'm trying to put my friend's mind at ease, but feel like I just don't know enough. I've been nosing around on the DISabilities forum and probably just need to spend some more time over there.

LOL - Me too! The 6 of us should all go with our girls at the same time someday :thumbsup2

I was the same way with the 15 day forcast :lmao:

I'm in! :yay:

And it's funny......... Every time someone posts a thread about being worried about the long-term forecast I post a note telling them to ignore those things until about 2 days out. Yet here I am...... checking every day.......:surfweb:

Oh don't worry - it's completely normal to check the weather so early! I mean, if your vacation is soon enough that it's actually ON the 15 day forecast, then it's not too early at all! I'll be doing the same thing in a couple days. :rotfl:

Still checking.........:surfweb::surfweb::surfweb:

Pretty soon I can graduate to the 10 day forecast!

The Belle dress is beautiful. How fun that the girls will be in matching Belle dresses by day & night. What a bummer about your friends foot. I think since you will be there at a non-busy time of year that it shouldn't be too hard to move around the parks with a wheelchair. That would be my biggest concern but I have never toured with a wheelchair. Will she be able to get out of the chair at all and use crutches? Getting on the rides might take longer if she has to stay in the wheelchair.

Can't wait to see your pictures and I think that after last's years cold you will have lots of warm, sunny days this year. :wizard:

Aww..... thanks for the kind words and the very welcome weather wishes! I'm really looking forward to seeing the girls dressed up together at the boutique. It's been a really long time since our trip together in 08. The mom is my best Disney buddy and the girls have been friends since age 4 when they met in preschool. :goodvibes

Here's a flashback to 08:

I think we'll do fine at the park Friday since it's a party day and crowds tend to be lower during the day on those days. But I'd bet money the party that night will sell out. We really need to have a plan to avoid too much criss-crossing the park......... or moving at all for that matter. And the next day is Saturday, a week before Christmas, so I'm bracing myself fore a really busy day. Hopefully we'll get so much done the day before we can move at a slower pace that day.

We don't know a lot yet about how mobile she will be. But I'm sure she'll be able to get out and move around a fair amount. There's just no way to spend the entire day without the wheelchair for breaks. We'll probably bring use it between lands of the park, then she'll get up and move as long as she can. She's a dancer, so has strong muscles, so I'm hoping she'll do better then we think.

And it starts.....

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

:rotfl2:Apparently the bad one is back.

OH NO! You take that bad banana back! :lmao:

It's gonna be fun watching them dwindle away.................

HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone!

It sounds like you have some great plans in the making. And that cake topper is adorable! Do keep us all posted on how the plans are going. Do you have a dress yet?

I think it would be grand to meet up with you sometime! Tuesday will probably work better since we'll be there with friends on Friday. And that day just got more complicated. Katie's friend just found out yesterday that her foot is broken! :scared1: She might be into some sort of a boot by then, but will definitely need a wheelchair! :scared1: Yikes! I'm not used to doing Disney at a wheelchair pace!

Are you guys doing the party Tuesday night? I'm thinking of adding that night because I just don't think we'll get a lot done on EITHER of our other 2 party nights now! (non-character loving husband along the first night, friend in wheelchair second night).

We are in fact! If you want I can PM you with my cell so we can meet up at the party.

and YES I did get my dress already I found it on sale at David's Bridal, I had it in my favs and it went on sale as a year end clearance, from $500 to 100

Yes, do PM me your number! I emailed my number to Jenn already and gave her a couple ideas on when our schedules overlap.

I think your dress is adorable! I can't wait to see photos of you in it! And you got an AWESOME deal! Have you found someone to trust with the photography yet?

WOO HOO!!!!!

Wait!!!! Surely you have something that would fit my Cort-Cort!!!! :littleangel:

I've kept a fair number of things, but actually have started selling some after our trips to help pay for the next trip. And it's keeping me from having to add a wing onto the house to store it all! :lmao:

LOL! I had all of these replies in one post, but apparently there were too many dancing bananas to include in a single post. Better all eat a few bananas! :lmao:

then there were 9...

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: :banana::banana::banana:

Take that, my bad banana fiend is GONE!

YEAH! Surely that bodes well for things to come!

:sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny: :sunny::sunny:

Here's hoping your trip is sunny and warm

Now that my friend........ is an awesome wish! :dance3:

I have now officially graduated to the 10 day forecast! YEAH!

But now it's so close it's scary. I have a LOT to do still. :scared1:

My first batch of appliques has arrived from Gretchen :yay: and I need to start getting the sets put together.

And my big appliques from NaeNae, another DISer are on their way as well!

But here's my question. I have planned to do a few sets with capri length jeans. The tops would be like what I have done in the past. I like that style because it can be layered so easily over t's or turtlenecks if needed. But I thought Katie would enjoy having embellished jeans for a change of pace. Right now the weather is calling for mid to lupper 70's. Will that be too hot in the afternoons for capri length jeans? :scared1: I can't believe I'm even ASKING that after last year's weather!

And I haven't done capri length before. I'm going to cut them off and put some matching ruffles on the bottom. Any guess on how far off the ground the ruffle should be for capri length?

Upper 70s might be a little warm for jeans but I think you will be OK with capri jeans. Does Katie have any capri or bike short style leggins? After last year I'm sure you two will not be complaining about the heat! Since that is the high temperature the capris will work well for mornings and evenings when it will be cooler. Between the indoor shows, rides and restaurants you can always find somewhere to "cool" off - or just grab a Mickey bar if you get too hot.

The nice thing about capris is that any length goes. The length of my DDs capris depending on how much she has grown since she got them :rotfl:

Yeah, Katie probably won't complain about the heat in light of last year's experience. We'll have lots of leggings and bicycle shorts along to wear under some skirts too.

I had matching Christmas capri/t sets planned for Katie and her friend, but with the friend's leg in a cast. the jeans are out. Gonna have to to the skirt route for those days.

I think the jeans will be cute, but I really do love the flexibility of the skirts more for this time of year. It's much easier to layer under a skirt than the jeans. But I have the CUTEST Rapunzel set planned. Gretchen did Pascal as a n applique patch I'm going to put on the capri jeans. And it will be trimmed with the same ruffle fabric I'm using on the top. NaeNae did a large Rapunzel I'm using for the top. I can't wait to see that one come together!

Hi, Janet!! I'm so very glad that I stumbled across your report!! I've just sat and read nearly the entire thing and can't wait to finish it up! I have to say, you have some amazing, amazing photos in this report! I'm sure this may have already been answered somewhere in the report, but what kind of camera are you using? I have so loved seeing each and every pic that you took...simply stunning!

I love that Katie is into all the costumes...how fun!! You two really sound like a fun pair!!:)

Well I have a great deal there too! You see since I am a photographer I did my friends wedding for free in 2004, well you see she is also a photographer so guess what? I get her for free as well  and as per wedding site the church is only charging us $150 and the reception site is free because it is at my parents cabin! Yep I am saving money left and right, of the money my mom gave me for the wedding/honeymoon 70% of it is for the honeymoon and the rest is for the wedding stuff :rotfl:

And glad you have Jenn's number already, but I shall give you mine as well just incase one of us does not here it ring, and I have to say I think I am more diligent with my phone than she :)

So I sent you that PM let me know if you got it, for some reason I always screw up sending PM :confused3

Hi! And :welcome: to my combo trip report/pre-trip report!

Many thanks for the kind words. :goodvibes

I have a Canon T2i and look forward to spending some more quality time with it in the parks in 9 days! :yay:

I think you're very smart to not go broke on the wedding. Good for you! Heck, I'd rather spend the money on a honeymoon too!

I'll go check my PM's and put your number in my book. I will warn you though that I'm not very diligent with my cell phone. But I'll try!

So I sent you that PM let me know if you got it, for some reason I always screw up sending PM :confused3

Just looked..... and it's there! :yay:

I told Jenn, if you're going in early on the 16th you can't miss us. The girls will be heading for the BBB and will be in yellow Belle gowns (I think). And one will be in a wheelchair, or hobbling about, or some such thing. Not sure yet how that's playing out.
