DON'T Read This TRIP REPORT If You're a Princess Hater!

Well, that's the day we'll be there with my friend and her daughter. We're also staying at the POP, so keep your eyes peeled for us! I'm the one usually carting around a camera backpack and a big Minnnie dot tote bag. We'll be entering the MK early that day for the BBB, staying all day, dining at CRT and staying through for the party. Just your average 16 hour day!

Be sure to say Hi if you see us! We'll have a few costumes along for the girls, but I don't have a clue which ones yet! Katie's friend is shorter than her, so I"m making adjustments to some of what she wore last year for her friend to wear. We're thinking about a pair of yellow Belles for the Boutique, but that could change. Who knew tween girls were so opinionated! Her friend could be wearing red Belle to the party. Katie? Who knows!

I'm really anxious to get my Halloween orders out so I can do a little fun sewing again. I'm running out of time!

Well, it won't be long before you see. A week from tonight is the first party and I'm sure someone will post photos. Somebody on that thread mentioned that they have a holiday special coming out, so maybe they'll be in holiday attire. Won't matter to me. I've never seen the show!

I think I have the world's worst Walgreen's I went by there today, but barely a bit of Christmas stuff out. Mostly that aisle is still just Halloween clearance stuff. Don't they know people are in a hurry to see the Christmas stuff???? There was a box there to be put out. I almost dug into it myself.

Oh well, I'll get a better look when I go to another Walgreens this week to get flu shots for Katie and me. I told Katie no travel during peak illness season without a flu shot. I think she actually was weighing the value of the Disney trip over her discomfort in getting the shot............. I'll let you all know if she decides not to go!

LOL! Sounds just like one of my other kids. I won't get specific, but it was ugly. I stopped fighting them on this, although now at 16 and 18 they have both had to have booster shots in high school and did fine. So there IS hope!

I think we're going tomorrow after school. Wish me luck. Or there might be a spot open for you on the trip!

Thanks for thinking of me Carey! I actually saw the list earlier today. I'm still sort of...... ehhh...... about it. I know they added P/F and Captain Jack. But that's just not what we care about.

I AM however, quite pleased that they are eliminating Princess Roulette! If we can get the line issues worked out, things should go much better for princess hunters.

I was really hoping they'd have Gaston out at the party. He would have been a great fit to swap off with Belle/Beast in Fairytale Garden. But alas....... we are foiled again.

I'm looking forward to hearing reports from the field tomorrow night!

I suspected this might become your pre-trip report place - so glad I tuned back in after seeing everything from your trip last december once you finished up the report. One day I hope to be there for Christmas and love that I can dream about it and LEARN a ton through you and others, THANK YOU And also hopefully Halloween sometime too.... may as well dream I guess!

What a treat for the friend to get to join you two disney travel experts on this trip and to wear your awesome creations Cannot wait to hear all about it - and I will keep my fingers crossed for a bit warmer trip this year so nobody catches a

We are already really excited to snuggle up and watch the parade x-mas morning since we get a low-key-just-the-four-of-us-at-home-Christmas this year - love love love those times!!

Well, the flu shot drama is finally over. We got there before opening yesterday morning and got right in. It was touch and go for a bit...... but we came out 2 for 2 in the shot department. Sorry Carey, Katie's going to keep her spot for the trip!

I also got a start on supplies for decorating our window. It was really hard to find inspiration this year. I didn't want to just do the same thing again, although I might bring back our light up snowmickey. I found a light up thingy with Mickey and Minnie singing carols. I liked it because Mickey is in blue. And I as dying to buy some of the blue and white star shaped lights to outline the window. I also got some larger clear snowflakes to dangle from the top. I'm really starting to get excited now!

I'm not sure if we'll do the tree this time or not. We just didn't stay in the room enough to enjoy it. And I hated giving up the limited table space. We'll see. I guess it will depend on whether I can find all the little parts to the stand.

Yeah! I'm so glad you took a break from your own planning to stop back by!

I would have done a pre trip report, but honestly, this time of year is so hectic, I just knew I wouldn't do a good job with it. So posting a little here on the end of last year's report seems to be doing the trick.

Your Christmas morning sounds awesome! I always look forward to watching the parade after the hubub has died down. But I always sleep through it! After being up in the middle of the night, then up early to open presents, it just feels so good to lay there and drift off. I finally wised up last year and DVR'd it!

So did anybody else follow the life posts last night during the first MVMCP?

The one surprise in the evening was finding out that Cindy, PC and the Tremaines are all appearing together in a big family shot. I saw them all on the list but thought they'd be swapping out. So we'll definitely be in for that shot. We might even bring the girls' Anastasia and Drizella costumes with us when our friends are along.

We're sure hoping to find our Fairy Godmother as well. We hope to update our twin Fairy Godmother photo this time!

I hope the window comes together like I want! Of course, I'm not exactly sure WHEN we'll decorate it, but I'm sure we'll figure it out. We arrive late our first night then hit the ground running the next morning. I did enjoy it last year when we got in earlier and had time to do it that first day.

There's been a lot of speculation about talking Mickey, but I don't see them having him out at the party. I haven't heard about them having a talking Minnie, and since they appear together at the party, it would be odd to have Mickey talking but not Minnie. Still, I'm intrigued and would love to meet talking Mickey!

It sounds like an awesome trip you guys are going to have!! I wish we were going back this winter. I agree with your decision to not start a seperate PTR. I have decided once I am done with my current TR I am just going to start a never ending PTR since the only trip I have set in stone is almost 2 years from now. I know I will probably make it back at least once before then for an AEP like Jen's but since I don't have any details, something ongoing seems more appropriate. I just don't know what I would do if I didn't have a PTR to work on

Hey there! So I have to say, your TR was the first one I ever read. I just stumbled upon it and didn't even know TRs existed before that. I read it all the way through and you inspired me to sign up for the DIS. Since then I've read many others, but I just found your report again and read it all the way through AGAIN! I love it! It's just so cute. I love all the mother-daughter stuff and besides some setbacks, it just seems like it was such a perfect trip.
Also, I know you've heard this a million times but you have some talent! All those dresses AND your beautiful photography!

I noticed that you were going to be at MVMCP the night I'm going (December 16). I know it'll be PACKED, but if I happen to see you or Katie, I might have to say hello! I hope you don't mind! We'll also be at MK the next night for Wishes/MSEP so maybe I'll see yall one of those times.

And now we know why I didn't start a separate trip report! I knew I'd be way too crazy busy to keep up with anything this time of year. Just as I finish up the Halloween stuff, I have to work ahead to have all my work completely caught up when we walk out the door for Disney.

Thankfully I've been able to steal away a few moments here and there to put the finishing touches on the things I made Katie for the trip. Every last rhinestone on Belle, the cape for Snow White, it's all done (I think!).

I'm really starting to get excited though. I bought milk this morning........ and the expiration date was December 2nd! So anyone who loves going to Disney and anticipating a long-awaiting trip can surely understand how it feels to finally buy milk with an expiration date in the same date as the trip, right?

Well, clearly I am the perfect example of how a PTR could go bad..... My work is just too seasonal to have consistent time year round to keep up with one. Fortunately the early part of the year is less crazy, so I'll probably do a new TR.
