Don't Mind All The Blurry Pics Trip #2 - Updated 4/14/09

So we headed off to the Imagination Pavillion after lunch.
DSCN2395.jpg

Like always it stated there was no wait for Journey into Imagination... which is no surprise for me. But it was like we hit the rush. The line was almost to the automatic doors. I decided that I didn't want to wait for this ride and we'd come back to it later.
So we went to hit up Honey I Shrunk the Audience instead.

DSCN2398.jpg

There was a crowd of people in the first part of the queue... but they hadn't let them into the pre-show yet. We were there maybe 5 minutes before they let us through to the pre-show.

We were some of the first into the actual auditorium. The people in front of us decided they were gonna just stop and sit right in the middle. I know, touchy subject. But they didn't even make it easy for us to walk past. They put all their crap in the isle way. If anything got stepped on or broken... my bad. Of course during the show one of the ladies freaked out during the mouse scene and attempted to run out. Now... I'm pretty mean... I'm not gonna lie. It wasn't happening. Both Eric and I put our legs up on the chairs in front and didn't let her pass.

We headed off to Innoventions for the free pic you get with the Disney Visa.
DSCN2400.jpg

The line was long. So I said we'd come back later. Especially since we were spending 2 days in Epcot.
We went over to Segway Central and they said it would be 20 minutes before the next show. So we decided to check out a few of the exhibits. And then back to Segway Central it was.
DSCN2401.jpg

I was hoping this was still in operation because I joke around with the security guards at the mall because they have Segways.

While we were waiting in line we chatted up with one of the CMs. His name tag said he was from London, but he had no accent what-so-ever. It turns out he's lived in the US since he was 3. He also claimed to be 41 though he only looked about 23.
I did much better this time than last! I was actually scared to ride it cuz I did so bad. The ex-London CM said it was because he is such a great instructor. Maybe... just maybe...

So we do the intro for the Segway demo. You watch a video, they ask you some questions, and then you fill out a release form.

We were with this great group of adults. Everyone was really nervous and everything so it was all a huge joke to all of us. I went first.

DSCN2406.jpg

I actually did it! I was so happy!:cheer2:
Then it was Eric's turn... he was a champ at it before... so...

After the sample it was time for our FastPass to Soarin'.
DSCN2410.jpg

DSCN2411.jpg

We waited a really long time even though we had FPs. I felt really bad for the people flying standby. We got front row seats which made me really happy cuz last time we were in the back and you could see the bottom of the screen and it kinda ruined it. Soarin is an amazing ride that's all I can say.

We decided to head back to the room for a nap but stopped off at Spaceship Earth. This was renovated since I had last been to WDW.

DSCN2413.jpg

DSCN2414.jpg

DSCN2415.jpg

Not too much has changed, but they updated the voice and text. I personally do not like the new text. Its like they are relating everything from the past to stuff of the future. I was really disappointed. But like a movie the ending made the ride. They take your pic in the beginning and at the end you answer some questions and it tells you how you will live your life. They take your heads and place them on cartoon bodies. It was really funny! I almost peed my pants.

So after you get off Spaceship Earth you enter Project Tomorrow. Its all sorts of activities involving communication. We found you you can email your pic from Spaceship Earth out... so we did to everyone we know!

Then we headed back to the hotel.

I got a Pina Colava at Petals. Its supposed to look like "lava." I think it's a Pina Colada mixed with a Daquairi. For some reason the bartender shook it!
DSCN2417.jpg

It was good. I love Pina Coladas.

We found the mousekeeper had some fun while we were gone.

We napped and then headed back to Epcot. I took some pics of the resort on our way to the buses.

It was around dusk when we arrived back to Epcot. We headed straight to World Showcase.

Off to Canada first!

I wanted to do the Passport so I picked one up in Canada. I wasn't sure how it worked and it took us a while to find all the KidCot locations.

You were on a good roll, hope you come back.

You were on a good roll, hope you come back.

Yeah I know I was. I was at odds with my travel mate and lost the interest to write. Now I'm in the process of packing to move. I was just thinking about this earlier today anyways. Maybe after I head to the bank I'll work up some more details.

So after we got my Passport stamped and signed we started to make our way around World Showcase Lagoon.

After Canada comes the United Kingdom.

Of course being the land of ale and stout Eric had to get a brewski. I don't have a receipt for him but he either got a Harp or Bass.
DSCN2445.jpg

At some point (I don't know if I said this already or not) I decided I'd take my pic doing something in every country. So I'm telling Eric to be quiet while I make a trans-Atlantic call to work I would assume. Making sure they are doing their jobs!
DSCN2446.jpg

On to find the KidCot station, which we didn't.
DSCN2448.jpg

DSCN2449.jpg

Eric got annoyed with my running around and just stood around waiting for me. I must say I don't remember World Showcase being so dark at night.

After the UK we headed across the channel to France.

There was a full moon that night. Here's some pics over Mexico!

Ok back to France.
DSCN2459.jpg

So the last time I was in WDW I saw the slushes in France and didn't try them because I was pretty buzzed from sipping Eric's beers from each country. This time however was another story.

The famous Grey Goose Slush

DSCN2461.jpg

It was YUMMMY! I really liked it A LOT!

Then we headed over to Morocco because Eric had to use the bathroom.

I was hungry and planned on eating at Tangierine Cafe. Eric was not fond of the idea. He didn't even want to give it a chance. It's just like Greek food they have at the festival over the summer I told him. He didn't not want to hear it. But when we started planning the trip he agreed that I would choose the restaurants.
DSCN2473.jpg

Anyways, I got the chicken shawarma platter. I also got a Tangierine Cocktail and a Baklava.
DSCN2470.jpg

DSCN2470.jpg

The serving isn't as large as it had been in 2004 but it was FAR from small. I assumed Eric and I would split this. I liked the hummus and couscous. I didn't like the green stuff. It was too tart for me or something. The chicken and bread was amazing. Baklava you can't go wrong with. But the drink I was a bit disappointed with. I had seen pics of far bigger glasses and it wasn't very alcohol-y. It was really just like a Slush Puppy.
Eric broke down and got the chicken wrap.
DSCN2472.jpg

He "hates" couscous (though he has never tried it) and tried the lentil salad. The lentils were hard as rocks. I tried it too. He liked his wrap though. I wonder if they would have given him rice or fries instead of the sides it came with if he had asked.
If we are going to Disney World again, I will have to reconsider Tangeriene Cafe for Eric or plan on it for me and something else for Eric to go.

I'm not going to lie, Spaceship Earth is my favorite WDW icon.

In the past few years I have grown to have a great appreciation for Japan, its culture and history.

I got my first Mon-Chi Chi when I was a baby. I still have it (remind me and I'll take a pic of it before I move). So when a friend had returned from WDW recently and told me they had them there. I wanted to buy another one.
DSCN2487.jpg

They were horrendously expensive. Even the keychain ones were like $15. :scared1:

Memoirs of a Geisha is also one of my most favorite movies so to check out the kimono they had was very exciting for me.
DSCN2488.jpg

DSCN2489.jpg

DSCN2490.jpg

Eric ran off to get something or go to the bathroom. So I waited for him in the kimono room and he never came back. So I went to find him.
DSCN2491.jpg

DSCN2492.jpg

Since of my love for the movie I had to take some pics of me in kimono. :rolleyes1 I needed Eric to do that for me and help me pick out the kimono.
DSCN2493.jpg

DSCN2494.jpg

DSCN2495.jpg

You can see in the background my bags. I bought this elephant stuffed animal. I think it's actually a baby thing because they had the blue elephant and a pink pig. The elephant was so darn cute I had to buy it.

Eric did get a Kirin beer in Japan.
DSCN2496.jpg

DSCN2498.jpg

And now I'm not gonna lie but I'm not quite sure what we did after that. I have no more pictures. I believe we found a spot to watch IllumiNations. IllumiNations is my favorite fireworks show. I just love it.

So Eric believes we watched IllumiNations on the second visit to Epcot. But I really don't know why I would have left it off until then unless it was raining. And I know it wasn't raining. So I'm saying we say them on the first trip to Epcot.

We were awake pretty early so we could get a bigger breakfast to eat. After getting ready we headed down to Everything Pop. I had wanted to try the breakfast pizza for a while. So we ordered that and a side of bacon. Eric had to get a banana and milk also (he made instant breakfast again).
DSCN2499.jpg

I liked the pizza and would do it again. Eric didn't eat much of it. I'm not one for restaurant eggs, but on the pizza they didn't bother me at all.
After eating we went and boarded the bus to the Animal Kingdom.

DSCN2502.jpg

We arrived about 5 minutes after opening. I was disappointed because I wanted to see "Let the Adventure Begin." No such luck with you have an Eric in tow.
The question to ask is where to head off first. It's easy for us. Straight to Expedition Everest. We wanted to get FastPasses for it in case we wanted to ride later.
