don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

Yhea!!! The Grey Stuff!!! :)

I should make that again myself! It's been awhile and my family gobbled it down last time!

You are so close - which is so exciting! Love the UP lunch with Disney food!

Hooray for magic bands arriving!

Sounds like a fun movie day!

thanks! i'm going to have to hide the magic bands. the girls keep wanting to wear them now and i'm afraid they'll be lost before our trip!

that grey stuff was delicious! wonder if there's any left in the frig.......

i can't believe it's finally September and we're actually going to Disney THIS month!!

since it was Hannah's birthday yesterday, we had another movie lunch for her and our friends kiddos. this time we did a circus themed lunch and watched....

i haven't watched this movie in years and i didn't actually get to see much of it this time either, but at least i didn't end up crying and the kids seemed to like it. to eat, we had corn dogs, mrs. jumbo's fruit salad, circus animal crackers, peanuts, popcorn and timothy's cheese sticks. i really wanted to also have cotton candy yogurt, but i went to two stores to find it and it was gone at both places. i just took it as a sign to give it up and we skipped having anything cotton candy flavored. we lived, it was fine! :rotfl:

we had WAY too much fun with these straws....

DH didn't understand how these went with the circus theme. i told him that the ringmaster dudes always have a mustache, but he seemed dubious. i have proof though. see? right in the opening credits!

our mustaches. for some reason, these were really cracking us up!

after the movie, we had cookie cake for Hannah's birthday. and since i think she's adorable, here's pictures of the birthday girl turning 7!

i think i'm going to try to squeeze in one more movie night. i want to do a Halloween themed one and watch hocus pocus. we'll see if we have time to get it in....

Awwww! How adorable is the birthday girl! Love the Dumbo movie day! Also love the idea to have a Hocus Pocus movie night! I think I'll have to steal that idea too!

What a neat movie day and birthday for Hannah! Landen wants a Peppa Pig birthday next month and I dont even have a clue where to start! Yall's trip is SOOOO close!!

Aww, Happy Birthday Hannah.

Her cuteness makes up for that horrible Cardinals cake. I'll mark my calendar for next year and send her a Cubs cake! Go Cubbies! :thumbsup2:rotfl2: (allright, allright--- I know--- the Cubs having nothing on the Cards in term of skill--but you can't fight logic with a die hard Chicago Cub Fan--- we are tried and true & still crazy loyal.. although it might be the beer at the games that makes us loyal!)

VERY cute Dumbo theme.. and love the mustaches too. There is just something very funny about the mustache craze. I love it.

Looks like you have a budding cards fan on your hands! We should do a dismeet at a game next year! Bob would love to do that!
What a fun birthday and movie lunch! The mustaches just make things so fun!

Just poking in to say I started reading! I can't wait to get through it all, it looks so fun! <3

I wanted to get some more thoughts out while I have a minute to sit down. what better thing to talk about than.....costumes!!! I know that I want to dress up as a family for MNSSHP, but I also know that I don't want to do anything too crazy. one, because I don't want to lug it all down there and two, I don't think I can get rich to be too crazy. he loves Halloween, but I don't think he'll want to get too into a costume when it'll be hot and we'll be getting in and out of rides. I have two ideas....well, 3.

the first one is to just do whatever. maddie wants to be a princess (she can't decide which, but we have ariel, snow white, tiana and aurora dress up dresses she can choose from) and Hannah says she wants to be a pirate/pirate princess or ironman again. I have my vampire mickey shirt from last year and I could find something for rich. we'd all have Halloween stuff on, but not exactly go together.

second would be to have rich wear his princess protection shirt, the girls wear their princess outfits from this trip, and I could wear something princess inspired. i would love the excuse to wear my tiara from our wedding again. i do love wearing a tiara! I sort of like this idea since I have everything for the kids already and we'd all go together. Hannah isn't too excited about this choice but said it'd be ok if she could be a pirate princess. I could live with that and she could wear her stuff from the pirate league. my only problem with that is that, even though I like all the princess movies, there isn't one that I really love and would want to dress up as.

my last choice is kind of my favorite, but i'm not sure if I can talk the girls into it. i'd love to go as characters from monsters, inc. I just want to do easy tshirt costumes. I was thinking rich could be a CDA agent with a bright yellow shirt that I could add some details to. Madison said she wanted to be boo, so she just needs a pink shirt and ponytails. Hannah said she'd be mike, but then she said she wanted to be randall. still, either a green or purple shirt and something fun to wear in her hair. I'd really like it if she'd be sully since he sort of goes with boo more than randall or mike. then, I really want to be the orange monster with the sock on his back. it makes me laugh just thinking about it. i'd just need an orange shirt and could add some yellow stripes to it. I even found the perfect shirts online last night for super cheap.

no matter what we do, I want to figure out a way to make them light up somehow. I think that'd be fun!

sooo.....thoughts? i just can't decide.....

Did you ever figure this out? The lights, I mean? If not, MESSAGE ME! Sorry-I haven't read all the way through yet and I need to get over to my sewing machine.

go look on my pinterest page. I can't decide if I want to have another movie night because I love Disney or because I've pinned so many fun Halloween things! :rotfl:

Great movie day! This looks like so much fun.

thanks!

we don't watch much peppa pig, but pinterest is my go to place for ideas for.....everything! i'm sure you could find lots of inspiration there.

the family I work for moved here from Chicago, and while they love the cardinals, they also still like their cubs. so you have some cubbies fans here too! Hannah is really just getting into baseball right now. she really liked going to her first game but I think the main thing she was so excited about was that she got to go onto the field with kids from her school and sing take me out to the ballgame during the 7th.

Looks like you have a budding cards fan on your hands! We should do a dismeet at a game next year! Bob would love to do that!

:welcome: thanks for joining in! i'm always glad to have someone new reading along!

costumes--we ended up doing a frozen theme (like everybody else, i'm sure ) and I sort of tossed out trying to make them light up. on my neverending list of things to do, it just kept getting pushed to the end of the list, so to save my sanity (and a few bucks :rotfl: ) and keep the list more manageable, it had to go. I did make the girls costumes with sparkly fabric so they will at least glimmer a little.

I didn't look before I replied, but do you have a TR or PTR going? i'd love to see any projects you're working on on the sewing machine! :thumbsup2

Sounds like Hannah had a great birthday! Love everything you did for it! :)

thanks! I only did this much because we had friends in town. usually birthdays are much more laid back at our house. I do a party for both girls together and this year it's happening the weekend after we get back from our trip. we're doing a superhero theme and have lots of plans thanks to pinterest. stay tuned! i'm sure i'll post lots of pictures! :thumbsup2
