I know--it's going fast but still taking so long! It's crazy how waiting for a Disney trip messes with the passage of time!

so I stayed up WAY too late last night trying to hatch a plan to meet Anna and Elsa. after playing with the plans for our MK day and changing things back and forth, here's what I came up with....

the day we go to MNSSHP, we'll be there at four. I think we'll check the wait time for anna and elsa and if it seems reasonable we'll go get in line. I can wait and the girls and rich can go ride the carousel or do something, but hopefully we'll get in that day to see them before the party starts. I see that the wait times are going down, so i'm hoping that continues and we'll be fine.

I know that this will probably make DH crazy (he's not so patient about standing in character lines), but after that, depending on the time, we'll probably get into the line to meet the princesses and the evil queen and maleficent. hopefully, that won't take too long and then we can start on the rest of our party plans!

if we find a time on our MK day that has a really low wait time, we'll probably just do A&E then and ride BTMRR and Splash before the party. fingers crossed that it will work out one of those days, because I'd really like to take maddie to see them since she keeps mentioning it.....

You should also keep checking for a fastpass even while you're there. I had a friend down there several months ago and her DH managed to snag them FP+s at like 1am the day before their MK day. So you might just get lucky!

I think that sounds like a wonderful plan! I have heard MK is pretty slow before the party, so I bet if you got there right at 4, you could get into to see them with out much of a wait.

You should also keep checking for a fastpass even while you're there. I had a friend down there several months ago and her DH managed to snag them FP+s at like 1am the day before their MK day. So you might just get lucky!

I haven't been checking on FP since we weren't going to see them, but you're right, i'll keep an eye on them!

we had another movie night yesterday! we have friends in for the holiday weekend and they love Disney too! since they haven't been in years, I thought they might like a little Disney lunch and a movie.

I "decorated" the table with all our Disney mugs!



we had a lunch of things you can have at Disney. we started with strawberry soup from the Grand Floridian! it was supposedly the same recipe as they use at Disney, but it didn't taste exactly the same. of course, everything tastes better at Disney!



next we had Walt's favorite chili and Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review cornbread. we'd never had either of those before so I can't compare them to anything, but we thought they were both delicious! I forgot to get a picture of the cornbread, but here's the chili.



I also made mac and cheese for the kids and called it Mickey's Mac and Cheese. I didn't get a picture of that either, but they ate it all, so i'm thinking they liked it!

for our movie, we watched.....



before the movie, we played with some balloons!



static is fun!



stuck to the ceiling. the girls were fascinated with the fact that the static would hold them to the ceiling.



everyone was too full for dessert at lunch, so after the movie we were finally ready to.....try the grey stuff!

I've been wanting to make the grey stuff too, but haven't got around to it, need to get on that!

I don't know if you've read any of the rumors, but they say that Maleficent and a few others will not be at the party with the princesses, they will only be at the dessert party which is even more $$$$ Sounds kinda crappy to me...

i don't think i'm going to decorate our magic bands, but i was considering putting a little bling on the girls and mine. i'm trying to figure out if i glue some crystals over the mickey head, will it still work?

i'm torn about the princess/evil queen meet. in a way, i want to take the girls, but on the other hand, i wouldn't miss not standing in another character line. and the dessert party thing at the castle.....$99 ON TOP of the party ticket? no way would i ever pay that!

i'm keeping my fingers crossed that wait times keep going down. i watched them last night during the first party. i think our chances of seeing them on the party day are looking pretty good. fingers crossed!

thanks! the soup was actually better and tasted a lot more like at GF when we had some the next day. i think the longer you let it sit, the better the flavor is. i also used plain greek yogurt because it's what we had, so ours was a little thicker and more smoothie like. i'd like to try again with regular yogurt and see what we get.
