don't know if i'm elated or gassy, but i'm somewhere in that zone...fall 2014 PTR

I think you could..... just download the picture and crop out what you want (circle part) in photoshop...and then print onto a iron-on paper...

I never have luck with dark t-shirt iron on's..but you could maybe put it on a white one? I dunno.........

For the pillowcase, I really like that idea. Are you having them sign just the edge part of the pillowcase? Or all over the pillow case?

I'm wondering if I could make Caden one to match his bedding and have them just sign the edge (like where you put the pillow in).

also how are you going to make it have a hard back or something to make it so they can sign it? Embroidery hoop? Clipboard?

And yeah, for the shirt, I'd pull it into photoshop and edit it down. But I've never done iron ons that look any good so IDK about that. But if you don't have photoshop I'd be happy to do the editing for you...just let me know :)

yeah, I love iron ons that I've bought but I've never attempted them myself. I don't even know if I have the right printer for the iron on paper I see in the stores. Guess we'll find out.....

on the pillowcases--most of them I'm attaching a white edge for them to sign there. But I was thinking about making one white pillowcase with a Mickey edge where they could sign anywhere. Most of the fabric I got is for specific characters, so I thought the white could be for just random ones we see. I don't know though. We're not doing as many character meets this trip so I guess we'll see. Maybe I'll do a pillowcase like that on our next trip. Anyway--I'm thinking about using a clipboard to hold it for signing, with an added clip on the opposite side. That seems like it would be quick and easy to change around.

If you could photoshop that for me, I would be so thankful! I know we have an editing program of some sort but I've never done anything with it cuz....I'm old and not computer savvy.... That would be awesome if you could!

I have done a lot of iron ons. I really like them and they are really easy. I just use the iron on paper at Walmart and I just have an hp printer that is about 10 years old. Just be sure to buy the right paper for the color of fabric- it tells you on the package.

Yeah. I'll fix it for ya. I'll fb you to get the link :-)

And I used a clipboard (5x7 size) for our autograph quilt squares. But I was hoping you'd have a better idea LOL. I brought 3 little binder clips and clipped all 4 edges of the square to keep it tight. But a pillowcase probably won't need as much. My quilt squares were just 1 piece of fabric and slid around easily.

Love the Disney chair! I have to hide my Disney stuff from a certain three year old, or she will want to wear/use the new Disney stuff!

I think you can totally make the shirt yourself! If you can't do the design yourself in photoshop, there is a group on here call Creative Disigns *I think, and there are lots of people there who will create custom things you can print and make into iron-ons.

I am so glad you are back here!;)

thanks again for helping with the iron on adventure!

I was thinking about using an embroidery hoop for the pillowcases but I think it's be a pain to tighten on and take off. I was thinking the clipboard would be easier and give a harder surface to write on. It was either that or make the girls bend over and use their backs! :rotfl: if i come up with anything better i'll let you know. Can't wait to see what your making for Caden. Where are you getting sheet fabric?

im glad to be back too! Thanks!

The Disney chair does cause some problems occasionally. Like when rich dumps laundry on it, not realizing its the Disney chair now! or when Maddie gets in a mood, like this morning, and wants to wear her Mickey shoes. I just love early morning whining.... :rolleyes2

I'm going to give making the shirt a try and we'll see what happens. April edited the picture for me already so I just have to find a shirt and get the transfer paper. Hopefully it works!

I got it on eBay. I found a quilt panel on etsy that I liked so I ordered that. Then I figured out the name of the fabric and found coordinating fabric from the same collection but with a smaller print for the sheets. I've added all my costs up and it ended up costing me a little over $100 for the toddler size quilt, 3 throw pillows, fitted sheet, pillow case, curtain, and 3 wall hangings. A little more than I was hoping for but way less than buying all that pre-made and matching!

Look at you!! Just creative with the movie nights.. Love the 101 hot dogs.. LOL..... I swear, if it weren't for Pinterest, I wouldnt know how to do a crafty thing at all. LOL

has anybody been watching park hours? I've been looking at them occasionally, but I think they may have changed. on our MK day, September 25, the park was open until 9. now, on one of my apps, it says that the park is open until 10 and that the MSEP is starting at 9 instead of 8. BUT--on another app, it still says that the parade is at 8 and the park closes at 9. anyone know what the time should be? if the parade STARTS at 9, then I want to change our ADR for dinner that night, otherwise we'll be eating during the parade and I don't want that. I want to sit on the curb with my face as close to the lights as I can get!

EDIT: now i'm even more confused....on Disney's site, it now says that the park is open 9-10 with EMHs from 8-9, and that there are two times to see the parade, 8 and 10.

and.....I've never booked a bounce back offer or anything like that, does anyone know the answer to this question---we are going to WDW in September and are planning a cruise in October 2015. can we book our cruise while we're at WDW? if we do, is there any sort of discount? how does that even work?

in trip news, I bought a shirt and transfer paper today and am all ready to attempt making an iron on for my sven costume. of course, i'll post the results this weekend sometime!

I'd bet the WDW site times are the wrong ones, :lmao:, I go by Josh on easywdw and he did recently post some changes... thats awesome if its staying open later. We had EMH in the evening for the day we had the Dessert Party and they canceled them! :confused3 Why Disney!?!?! I can understand adding hours, but not removing them! They encourage us to book crap like 6 months out, so we plan and plan and plan, down to what rides we will be at what time and then 3 months before they change it! ***... grr... ok, rant done. Not the end of the world I suppose... That does suck for your ADR situation. If its more than like an hour apart I think you can hold 2 ADRs and then cancel one as it gets closer and you see the real time?

Have no idea on the bounce back for cruising...but I did a quick google and it looks like its a no. I read a couple articles that said DCL does not participate at all in bounce backs.

Cant wait to see the tee! Text me! I bet it will come out just fine, just dont wash it before your trip bc they fade so badly! :thumbsup2

Hi Lori!!!

Love the 101 party - I think you did great even with the obstacles of having to do things last minute and with less time than you thought you’d have. I did some of those movie night things when Willow was younger, and they are hard! So hard that I haven’t done one since!!!

:cheer2: for a trip coming up super-fast!!!!!!

thanks for all the great info! I think i'm going to do some Disney planning today after I finish up some sewing and get done here.

thanks! i'm so excited for our next movie night! the tea party is just a few weeks away. stay tuned for pictures of that!

I can't wait for the trip--time seems to be flying by for me. maybe not so much for the girls....every day they ask if today is the day we go to Disney and seem actually surprised that it's not.

hello.....so I know I promised to be back last weekend with pictures of my amazing first attempt at iron on transfers, but here's the deal. our printer is a pain in the tush. one color, magenta I think, was out and you know the printer won't work at all if all the colors don't have ink in it. so.....I don't know what to buy and my DH keeps forgetting to pick up whatever the color is that we need. hopefully by NEXT weekend, i'll have a shirt to show you!

but, never fear, I do have lots of pictures to show you because I have been on vacation this week and we have been having a BLAST!!

first we went to the muny.

the muny is an open air theater here in St Louis that puts on musicals in the summer. we met up with some other STL Disser's, JackieMarie21 and AprilRenee, and went to see Tarzan. I have to say that it wasn't the best thing I've ever seen at the muny, but it was SO fun to get to hang out with some awesome people for the night!

the very next day, we met up with JackieMarie21 and her adorable daughter, Charlotte, and hung out for the day looking for stl250 cakes. St Louis is 250 years old this year and there are cakes all over at historic or important sites. we had a great time finding a few together and, while at Lone Elk park, we saw a lone elk!

July 3 we went with some very good friends of ours to see some fireworks by the river. the kids had a blast waiting together and playing in the sand by the river.

the girls finally saw their very FIRST fireworks display! maddie was not a fan until my friend told her that it was tinkerbell's pixie dust in the sky. then she was all about the dust and loved it! she keeps talking about wanting to see mickey fireworks now. i'm so excited!

on the fourth we had a very pinterest-y, fun day with the friends we'd seen fireworks with the night before. my favorite thing was the red, white and blue drinks we made for the kids.

so after all the excitement of the week, Saturday I spent a LOT of time sewing! I did some boring repair stuff for the girls and then got a start on some things for Madison's preschool. they are putting together a cooking basket for a silent auction and asked me to make some aprons. I finished the kid sized ones last night. today i'm going to make chef hats to go with the kids aprons and make a matching adult size apron too. I just love the fabric! it says eat at mom's and it's all good!

I also got the anna and elsa pillowcases done for the girls. fingers crossed that we can snag a fastpass to see them!

hope everyone had an awesome fourth! only 80 days until Disney!

We had so much fun hanging with you guys! Charlotte has been telling everyone about her friends Hannah and Madison.

Looks like you guys had a wonderful 4th of July. So much fun! I love the tinker bell dust for fireworks, I am going to have to remember that one, in case we are ever afraid of fireworks.;)

I'm joining in! I'm originally from STL, and you were talking about the Muny - my cousin is in a few of the productions there as a Muny teen! I was hoping to go see him this year but I was in a car accident in March and alas it was not to be (I don't trust the highway between Chicago, where I live, and STL anymore, so I quit driving it!). But I'm going to join in your PTR and then going to go read your TR now. :flower3:

And feel free to throw STL stuff in your PTR, because I am definitely homesick! :thumbsup2 I wear all my Cardinals gear up here but am scared for my life when I do it; too many Cubs fans around! :p

that charlotte! she's just too cute! the girls already want to know when they can play with her again.

I thought that dust comment was brilliant! maddie was crying and saying she wanted to sit in the car and basically throwing a fit for some reason. then chantel says "pixie dust" and everything is better!

yay! another STL native! :welcome: i'm actually from Nebraska originally, but I LOVE being in St Louis now. that is so awesome that your cousin is in some of the shows at the muny. i'm for sure going back for hello, dolly! and maybe grease if I can find someone to go with me.

I don't blame you for not wanting to drive the highway after a car accident. I drive a lot for work and see people doing the most ridiculous things on the road! I hope you're feeling better and on the mend!

if we do anything else around town, i'll be sure to post some pictures for you. STL is awesome! it's funny that you're in Chicago now. the family I nanny for moved here from Chicago. they really loved it there. I think it's nice to visit, but not sure I could live there.

be brave and rock that cards gear! I've just recently begun to like watching baseball. I think I can get into it because I actually understand it and know what's happening. our oldest gets to sing take me out to the ballgame during a game next month with her school. it'll be my first ever game--we're pretty excited!

anyway, hope you enjoy the TR. we had a great time!
