was just sitting around at work, enjoying the peace of all the kids doing some art together, and thought I'd look at the my Disney experience app to get a little shot of Disney, and what do you know?!? We can customize our magic bands! I let the girls pick their colors and they chose together for DHs band. I tried to get all fall-ish colors. We ended up with: DH-green, me-orange, Maddie-red, and Hannah-pink. I was hoping Hannah would go for yellow but she was adamant that she have pink like last time. Oh well, not a battle I need to fight. I haven't decided if we'll decorate them or not. I do like the ones that people have put temporary tattoos on. Seems easy and quick. I wonder if I can find any Disney Halloween tattoos since we're doing the MNSSHP. that'd be kind of cute!

We did ours too! We went with Pink for both Charlotte and I and red for Bob. At first I was thinking Charlotte and I would need different colors, but then I was like why? We both want pink and our names will be on them, we don't have to be different! Bob of course is hoping that his beloved Cardinals will be on there way to another World Series so he picked red!

i don't know if anybody is following along with Roni's (RGirl) TRs but you totally should. They have done some awesome trips and her daughter, Willow, is adorable. Anyway, she has opened an etsy shop and makes the cutest things! I ordered cupcake shirts for the girls and had to post a picture! Hannah got a Goofy cupcake (she hasn't tried hers on yet) and Maddie got Peter Pan--which Roni didn't offer but took the time to design and make just because I asked! Needless to say, Madison LOVES it!



Cute or what?!? Madison begged me to let her wear it to preschool today and I was WEAK at 5:45 am and let her do it. I hope she doesn't get anything on it! Probably should have wrapped her in plastic before we left.....

When Hannah tries hers on, I'll post her picture. im thinking they'll need skirts to go with these, right? Any excuse for more sewing!

So cute! And I feel the same way! All of the girls shirts are safely tucked away in ziploc bags... and hidden out of sight! I know if I didn't, they'd want to wear them all the time and knowing them, there would be all sorts of stains on them! Ha ha!

yay magic bands!! How fun would it be to put cardinals stuff on Bob's band! That would be so cool!

I just came up with fall colors when I was looking at the choices. I knew I wanted to get something different then we had last time and that i wanted orange. Then when they picked green for Rich, I started thinking pumpkins, then the party...... Just couldn't convince Hannah to jump on the bandwagon. That's ok though, gotta love a girl that knows her own mind, right?

I'm glad you and Charlotte both got the color you wanted! Do you think you'll try to decorate them? I haven't decided yet, although I did find Disney Halloween temporary tattoos online that I'm pretty sure Walgreens always gets in with their Halloween stuff. I think tattoos is about as crazy as I'll get if I decide to decorate them. I don't have a very steady hand for painting and know I'd never be happy with it.

i know! I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking of all the ways Maddie could stain her shirt! Usually I dress her in stuff that is fine to get totally dirty because I just don't want to worry about it (and because I love the teachers at her school and don't want them to stress if she gets paint on her shirt. Some of the parents freak out if their kid gets dirty--huh?). She'll probably come home totally clean and then spill something on it during my watch! and my plan is to gently hand wash it, hang it to dry and then pack it away til September! Man, I need to work on my willpower first thing in the morning!

hi everybody! I feel like I have totally been neglecting this PTR once again! with working over the weekend last week, and Easter and finishing up a quilt for teacher appreciation day at Hannah's school, I just wasn't doing much on here, except reading everyone's updates on my phone in car pool lines! sorry for being such a bad DISer, but here's a little update to make up for it!

Tuesday I got to meet up with a bunch of STL DISers for a DISmeet/play date. we got to hang out and go grab lunch. it was AWESOME to hang out with other moms and talk to grownups! and talk Disney, of course! thanks to all my DIS friends for a great day!

when we got home that night---more DIS pixie dust! Terri (denovagirl) sent us a package with Disney shoes and our anniversary shirts! I'm sure you've all seen pictures, but I'm going to post some again anyway. just humor me!

been thinking about inexpensive souvenirs for this trip. In January, I let the girls both make a smashed penny at POR before we left and they loved it. In fact, I took Maddie to the zoo the other day and she made two there. They really like doing those for some reason and they seem like a better souvenir than 20 stuffies! I know there are tons of those machines around Disney. I guess I'm wondering what cute ideas people have as to keeping them--container, wallet, book? Also, any tips for making them so they are "pretty"?

I've been wondering the same thing. We will probably do a lot of the crushed pennies but I have no idea how to display or use them so that they don't get lost around the house.

Also you going just for a weekend caught my eye!! We too- just went in the fall and then my sister decided she was going for a week in June.. We never get to see them so we started talking about us coming just for the weekend to see her and my nephew and surprise our boys with each other.. I have went back and forth several times about if it was worth it driving that far just for a weekend and blah blah blah.... Then my MIL decided she wanted to go and she has never been! This kind of strengthened my reasoning... Let's take MIL, she has never been and you never know when we will be able to do it again.. You only live once, right?

We stayed at CBR in October- it really is a beautiful resort!!

And my DH proposed to me at Disney as well

thanks! me either! I wore my shoes the other day and thought they were pretty comfy. I don't think I'd make it in the parks with them, but I am seriously considering bringing them for the day we spend the morning at the resort! I HAVE to take mickey shoes to Disney, don't I? (I can't remember if you've commented over here before or not. if not and if so, sorry, I clearly have a horrible memory!)

hello, new person! since we've had kids, we're never on time either, so my feeling now is, whenever you get there is clearly the time you were supposed to be there! I'm glad you're joining in!

how awesome that your DH proposed at Disney, too! did you all get married or honeymoon there? we didn't, but sometimes I really wish we had!

I'm hoping that free dining opens up and we can switch over to CBR from ASMo and that my math was right and that it will be cheaper. if not, I'm fine with being at ASMo in a preferred room. we missed a lot of the resort last time we were there and I'm kind of excited to see it again. but, I do hear those hammocks at CBR calling my name.....

so our short weekend trip is getting longer! we are now hopefully leaving Wednesday night and coming back sunday morning. I'd really like to leave even earlier but I don't want our oldest to miss too much school. if I'm not careful, i'll totally justify taking her out for more days and end up being there for a week again! it's so easy to come up with reasons to go to Disney for longer, isn't it? but, I agree, you only live once, might as well enjoy it!
