Just a hypothetical question.

If you purchased the 4/3 offer for next week and didn't need the 1 day base ticket for each person in your party(we have AP's but you have to purchase one day to get the deal), how would you go about offering them for sale and what could you expect to get for them? If there was someone on here that wanted them, would you use PM for this discussion? I don't know if we can afford this trip without selling the tickets and wondered what I could get for them? Would it even be possible to do this since this would be a package?

Thanks!:)

If the deal make $$$ sense then I would just try and find someone to give them away to and call it a day. You already saved $$$ so why not pass that savings on to someone else.

I guess if I couldn't sell them then I would just keep them for a later date or maybe let my mom and dad use them if he has business in Orlando this summer. I really could use the money from the tickets to pay for the food we will have to buy since we wouldn't be camping.

I just talked to Rhonda and she said that the tickets would be on our KTTW card and would have our name on them so we couldn't sell them.

Does anyone have any experience with something like this?

I know that they scan your finger when you use your ticket, but since I will not be using the card except to pay for purchases will it matter that our names are on them?

Now your know the limitations of these "PACKAGE DEALS".

I thought the "ticket" part of the KTTW didnt expire until 14 days after its first used??? Am I wrong? I usually am.

It won't expire because we will never use it. We have AP's and don't need the tickets. You have to buy at least a one day base ticket to get the 4/3 special. We wouldn't be using the tickets at all so they wouldn't even be activated.

You are not wrong THIS time Rog!;) :goodvibes

Heey....it feels kinda GOOD not being wrong for once!!!! So...YEAH...why wouldnt you be able to sell them to someone? Sounds like a win/win situation for both parties invloved!! Throw them up on eBay!

Rhonda said that she doubted they would give me a separate ticket for the 1 day pass and that it would be included on my KTTW card. That means it will have our name on it, even though when we check out the charging privileges will be stopped, it will still have a one day base left on each card. She said she has never seen anyone ask for ID at a park gate and I haven't either but you never know. She also said if the card didn't work for some reason(magnetic strip or for some other reason) Guest Relations would ask for your ID to fix the card. She said they might go ahead and put my ticket on a separate card at check in since I know that I won't use it, but it would be hit or miss based on who I got and if they wanted to do it. We would have to know that we could sell them before we left or we couldn't go.

That $200 or so we could get for the tickets would pay for diesel and makes the difference whether we can afford to go. Every penny around here counts and we plan our trip to the dollar. Last trip (Thanksgiving) we planned every meal and only spent $300 on food for a ten day trip. I was soooo proud!:cloud9:

I have missed you Rog!:)

It seems like anyone would be able to use the tickets on the KTTWC because you don't scan your finger until you use it to get in the parks. I wonder, if at the end of your trip, the CM at the front desk of your resort would issue you paper tickets with no names on them and take them off your KTTWC. That way you could sell them on Ebay or to a friend who was going. Heck, somebody on here may want them.

I would have 3 adult tickets and 1 child ticket. You know, Disney thinks the 14 year old is an adult ! :headache:

I don't think I will survive her teen years.:scared1: I really needed this trip to Fantasyland!:sad2:

I was really hoping to sell them to someone on here since there are so many people on here like us that are looking to still go to Disney, but as cheap as possible(I don't mind saying I am cheap;) )

I don't know if they will issue me a separate paper ticket and I don't know if anyone would want to have a ticket with our name on it, or if I would want them to.:confused3

Ok, I called the front desk at the fort.....I was really curious! I said, I want to do the pay for 4 get 3 free deal and stay at the cabins. I have an AP so I don't need the tickets. Would I be able to get the tickets on a seperate card and let my parents use them?

She didn't sound especially helpful from the get-go, so when she said she would transfer me to reservations and then I got disconnected, I wasn't exactly surprised. :confused3

I might call a different resort and try later :lmao:

Thanks Ami, I wondered what they would say too! Reservations told last night me last night that it would be attached to my KTTWC and they wouldn't issue me a separate ticket. I of course, know that I would probably get a different answer each time I called!;)

My parents just did this. They have APs, but they wanted the special package. So, after checking out at the end of their trip, they asked guest services to take the tickets off the old KTTW card and issue separate paper tickets. Guest Services wouldn't do it. They said that my parents could just use the KTTW tickets the next time they came.

So, last weekend, they went to WDW for one day with friends. They gave those KTTW cards to their friends to use. They got in, just fine! Swiped the cards in the turnstiles, with no problems!

BUT....I don't "officially" share this information with clients, because there is always that chance that something could go wrong. If the magnetic stripe didn't work, then they would have go to Guest Services, and they may ask for an ID. The tickets are officially "non transferable".

I guess you could sell them to somebody you trusted, with the stipulation that the tickets may not work. And, if they didn't, you would give them their money back. You couldn't really do that on Ebay, but if you have a friend here that understands the risk, that might work. :)

You're very smart Roz. Good thinking.
