On Huffington Post you might check out this article under the World section.
Mass Bird, Fish Deaths Occur Regularly
AP, January 7, 2011 | 11:10:45 PM (EST)

Dropping birds, drowning fish, exploding frogs, suicidal sheep. And now more Republicans than ever in Congress.

A coincidence?

The Wall Street Journal had a story in the last few days about the dead birds. There is a group that tracks these die offs and there are about 150-200ish in a given year. The birds can be poisoned on purpose or eat something that poisons them "naturally" as well as just getting sick.

Fish kills happen all of the time because of lack of oxygen in the water and they can just get sick and die.

Humans are not the only critters that can suffer epidemics.

Or they could have have heard Micheal Bolton or worse....

Justin Bieber! :rotfl2:

Later,
Dan

Fish kills happen quite a bit due to algae blooms.

But the bird thing freaks me out, too. Can you imagine sitting in traffic and 50 birds falling on your car? Weird things are happening...

Yes, I can imagine it. Once, we had dozens of geese fly over us while sitting in traffic and, while they didn't fall out of the air, they deposited something much much worse on our car. :rolleyes1Gross.

I saw a funny sarcastic report about "The birds" on Nightline the other night. And the punchline was that the biologists they interviewed said this happens about 150 times a year - so literally, every other day birds are falling out of the sky. Not weird, gross maybe, but not weird.
