write Disney a letter telling them how you feel. It's taken me 3 days and just as many re-writes to express my displeasure and suggestions for improvement, as well as what I found good during the past weekend. Management needs to know. Yes, they may not read the letter, they may throw it out, they may ignore it.
But maybe, just maybe if enough of us voice our thought, things will improve.

Not always with what you wanted to hear, but I have found that they at least let you know your thoughts didnt go un noticed.

I wrote to all the big wigs after our July trip to AKL proved to be a bust. For those who dont know, we returned from the park to find our door propped open at 9pm. Apparently the maid forgot to close it when she was done working. Anyway I wrote several letters upon our return and recieved two phone calls from Disney about the incident. And the answer is no....they didnt do anything about it but at least they read the letters.

So write.....write .....write.....maybe if they hear it enough they will get the idea.

just my 2 cents.....

I agree we must write!!! If only a couple of people write then they might think there were only a few disgruntled people.

I definitely want to write -- but can anyone tell me to whom?

I think if we just write to customer service, we will be ignored.

Any suggestions?

Debbie, If you go to the Rumors Board, there is a "stuck"thread at the top that has names and addresses of all the presidients and VP's. Also, if you want them, I have the addresses for Jim Matthews and Jim Green. They are the "bigwigs" at WDW for pins, although no one seems to know exactly what it is they do or what their titles are.

My letter is addressed to Roy Disney with copies to Michael Eisner, Paul Pressler (and/or his replacement), Al Weiss, Lee Cockerell, Phil Homes, Karl Holz, and Brad Rex. I figure if anyone will listen and do something, it will be Roy.

I've been writing my letter to WDW higher-ups. Currently it's addressed to Lee Cockerell, exec. VP of WDW Operations. Copies to Roy Disney, Al Weiss (President of WDW Resort), and Brad Rex (VP of Epcot) are certainly in mind, and the way he micromanages everything, perhaps Michael Eisner as well.

Tell you what, at my next meeting with Michael (Eisner) I will talk to him about how to make pin events better.

If you have it, can you please share Al Weiss' address? Thank you so much!

There is a post stuck to the top of the Rumors and News board with a list of names and addresses. The post is by DVC Landbaron.

By all means write away. we wrote about an incident from Dec 2001.

We had a problem that wasted almost a whole day for - too say the least we were not happy. I had everyone in the party write a letter, all 8 of us. I not only sent it to the bigwigs but also the manger of the resort where we stayed. From the bigwigs - a big thanks for the letter. From the manger we did get a little something more - a couple of free 1 day passes. So sometimes they do listen.

Goofymomand pop,
I had the same type of incident happen to me at last years event. Cynthia, Leslie, Dom and I were staying at the Fairfield Inn. Leslie had checked out of her room, dom Checked out of his room, and Cynthia and I stayed. I brought Cynthia to the airport because I had 2 more days of parks and alone time. There was something wrong with the bathroom so they promised to finally fix it while I was gone.
I came back to find the door propped open on the silver latch thingy and someone had gone through all my stuff. I felt totally violated.
The "theives" were dumb though, all they took was one of the maps and pins that I had in a plastic sleeve. Guess they thought all the other pins were either too ugly or that was an expensive set because I had it in a page protector.
It took Fairfield Inn almost 3 months but they did send me a check for all the pins that were missing, about $80. (Probably cost me more than that in phone calls) Cynthia got the entire stay free because she had charged the room on her credit card. Hey Cynthia, you owe me, guess we have to go to WDW on my next school break. lol
Point of the story, it does take a while, but if you keep complaining you will get some satisfaction Peggie
