Don't forget the back of your head/hair!

I don't want this to be a mean thing, but I see so many nice looking people who are dressed well who forget or don't think to comb or style the back of their hair.

I know you can't see back there but I just feel bad seeing someone who looks as if they've slept for 10 hours with a flat spot on the back of their head because their hair is sticking straight up or out (while the front of the hair looks nice).

Just a public service reminder people!!!

I know what you mean!!! I am amazed at how many people don't comb the back of their head. There is one woman I know that has pretty poofy hair on top and the sides but from the back it is flat. She doesn't curl the back of her hair like she does the front and it looks silly!

JK...I totally get ya...it amazes me how some women won't even run a comb/brush through their hair in the morning before work.

also - ladies - you check your reflection "coming"...how about 'going'...I never realized how bad my butt looked in some pants until checking the rear reflection! hehehe

I just twist my hair up into a clip every day. Looks nice, takes 15 seconds to do, and I don't have to mess with it once it's done. No touch ups or having to run to the ladies room to comb it or resuce a fallen section of hair! I love it!

yes...but there is a right/wrong way to everything.

acheiving the 'bedhead look' actualy takes some time and styling products/tools!

literally waking up and going out of the house without touching your hair is NOT the bedhead look! hehehe

And can I please add to "fix" your eyebrows? They go to the trouble of doing the hair and makeup and then have eyebrow hairs pointing every which way.

My former boss is famous for this. I'd even see her come in the office and come her hair, making sure the sides and front were perfect and meanwhile, she's got this nest in the back of her head.

Over the last year or so working for her she started getting her hair highlighted and I have to honestly say she was getting ripped off. Her hair was so dry and brittle looking and the highlight was awful. I'm sure she paid at least twice what I paid for my color and people used to think mine was natural.

"I don;t care what you do to the back, I never fool with it anyway."
As a hairdresser, you don't know what that does to me!!!

LOL Buck, I know how that statement can leave the client with unexpected results so I always say "just a trim on the ends please, NO layering in the back!" (since I don't fool with the back!)

Well, Blondie, I meant that I am always shocked to hear that someone doesn't do the back of their hair but you are right...that might get me a bit excited for my scissors also!!! LOL

Of course, hair like your's doesn't drive me crazy but short, styled hair does!!!

Omg this is one of my pet peeves. Lately I have noticed a lot of girls walking around with flat ironed hair. But they totally forgot to do the back! or they would do the very top layer of the back of their hair but the underneath is still wavy. It shows right through. Maybe I am a perfectionist but I never forget the back of my head. I would be so embarrassed walking around like that.
