What a horror story we had, renting from these people, Connie and Tom Richards. We booked a condo at Windsor Hills from them for may2-may 30. When we arrived we were denied access to the pool and facilities because of their financial problems with the resort. Here is a brief discription of what happened:
May 2: arrived tried to get passes for pool etc, could not, called Connie Richards, she told us problem was with windsor hills would be resolved.
May 3: spent morning in condo, giving them time to resolve issues, went to office, met tom richards, he paid $30 day rate for use of pool for day only, but no other facilities, said it would be resolved next day
May 4: still not resolved, connie richards said some mix up in her fees,but she would not pay for use of pool for remainder of our month, i told her wanted all my money back, after several hours back and forth, she said she had a 5bedroom pool home we could use, but not available for may 29th, but we could go backe to condo for last nite as she couldnt rent it anyway, ofcourse this meant not pool again for last day, we agreed
May 29: we cleaned house packed up and went back to condo, guess what the electricity was shut off. called her and tom neither returned call
left message saying we were going back to house as we were paid for room thru may 30
went to park for a few hours returned to house and several women were in it said they had rented it. called connie and she said we needed to leave or she would call police and have us removed. since our contract stated condo and not house, felt the police would not get involved and so we left and went to a motel which cost us an additional 102.
The richards blatenly lied to us, entered into a contract which they knew they could not keep, tried to say they never toldus we could go back to condo, refused to reimburse us for the last nite at another hotel and refund from what we paid them for their condo
To add insult to injury, when we returned home, there were phone messages from connie, made while we were in florida at her house with a phone saying we could not stay at condo, how stupid can you be.
So please to all my internet friends dont have anything to do with any properties they own or manage
