Chapter Twelve Part Three
As soon as we were all back together again, we headed into A Bug's Land.
We stopped for some Photopass pictures:

These are some of my favorite pictures that we had done! We didn't ride anything in this area, we were heading somewhere specific...

Looks even scarier when you're shrunk down to the size of a bug in A Bug's Land, doesn't it??
We made our way over toward the Tower of Terror by walking through a cereal box (Cowboy Crunchies, the only cereal that's sugar frosted and dipped in chocolate, proudly presents...Woody's Roundup!)

I loved these lanterns!!

The details here were outstanding! California Adventure was 100% our favorite park between the two...I know it sounds weird, but it felt more like a Disney park than Disneyland. It is definitely more in line with the parks in Florida in terms of feel.
We got our fast passes for Tower of Terror and had quite a bit of time to kill. I knew Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps had their meet and greet in the area, but when we got to them, they were going on a break. We made the decision to wait them out...they were a MAJOR priority for this visit, since at the time, they were unable to meet in WDW (although they will meet at the MVMCP this year...we plan to skip them though, since the wait time will be insane. My hope is it cuts down a little on the Jack/Dwarfs lines a little at the party.)
I stood on the sidewalk next to the CM who was monitoring their meet area for half an hour total, while my family sat on a bench nearby. The line grew steadily, and I was glad we decided to stay. About 5 minutes before they came back out, a family asked the CM if this was the line for Nick and Judy...she said yes, and the got in front of me. I said, "No, I'm sorry, I've been here for over 20 minutes, you need to get in the back of the line." The people behind me (who were on their honeymoon), kind of closed in behind me like my back up, LOL! We formed a Disney fan wall!
The CM looked over and said, "Good for you! They can hike to the back!"
They finally came out and it was SO WORTH THE WAIT.

Nick L-O-V-E-D that L had him on his shirt. He motioned to the photographer to just get the two of them in a picture together, and posed L...it turned out so cute, one of my very favorites!

I jazzed it up a little and posted it on Instagram:

This was an excellent meet and greet!
We still had time to kill, and the wait for Monster's Inc was posted at 15 minutes, so we hopped in line.

...along with about thirty other people who also noticed the line was pretty short, haha! I think we made it to the front of the line within that 15 minute timeline though, but not a minute shorter. This vending machine cracked me up:

Bag - O - Calories, anyone??
We got to the front of the line, the vehicles began pulling up and then...womp womp. The ride shut down. The CMs were looking at the screens and talking...apparently some teenagers started getting out of a ride car. Morons. They announced that the ride was shut down temporarily until they could get it back up and running, but it would be at least 20 minutes. I was ticked off. The kids were sad. We got out of line, because we did NOT want to sit there for another 20 minutes, and we were pretty mad we'd ended up wasting that time in line.
We decided to go check the times for Animation Academy

Our new plan was to go do our Tower fast pass, go get ice cream at Ghirardelli, and then head back to the hotel for a little while.

The sun was out now and very bright...as you're about to see...

DH squinting, me trying to put on my sunglasses...classic.
We survived the ride, headed out of the area, stopped for a photopass picture

and then went to get a treat

This is somehow the only picture of any of the ice cream?? We were all kind of disappointed by it, it was weird and had a grainy texture. No one finished it.
We left the park at this point...mostly. We stopped at the front so X could get a huge stuffed Oswald, and then we waited for a long time for Oswald to come out and meet, but he never showed up. We promised X that we'd definitely meet him on our last day, and finally headed back to the hotel for a break.
Part Four coming right up...the end of this California Adventure day.
