NAHEIM, CA — A group of 7,000 future farmers of America nearly had their Disneyland Theme Park dreams stolen, along with awards and trophies destined for the 90th FFA Leadership Conference this week. Now, the theme park is weaving some Disney magic, ensuring all will still be able to attend the themepark. Still, trophies and awards are missing after the theft.
Thieves were seen in Galt, California driving off with a trailer filled with supplies and awards headed for the FFA Convention, according to that organization.
The white Wells Cargo trailer, license plate number 4KJ1127, was stolen from the California FFA Center early Wednesday morning, according to that organization. Surveillance video showed the two men approaching the trailer, hitching it up and driving away. Galt officials are actively searching for the vehicle, according to reports.
"It contains awards, merchandise and all of our registration materials for the 7,000 FFA members who are about to experience the State FFA Leadership Conference," a spokesperson for the FFA said on Facebook. The truck was stolen just before 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
"No personal student information was inside the trailer," the spokesperson said.
The California Agricultural Teachers Association shared progress with their followers who are anxiously awaiting news.
"Fortunately, we have many supporters who are working to replicate, and rush as many items as realistically possible to minimize the impact," they said over social media. "We appreciate your support in sharing the information on social media, and your patience as this may impact registration."
A Disneyland spokesperson has said that the tickets in question have been voided, and they are working with the CAFFA to rectify the situation.
Anyone who finds or purchases Disneyland Tickets online for cheap should be aware that such tickets might not be valid.
"Always buy your tickets directly from Disneyland Resort," they advised. "If someone buys one of these stolen tickets, they won't be able to use it to visit.
