We're in flight now.

We were ready to leave the house at 4:15 AM. I had planned for 4:30, but you know what? After last year I figured 4:15 was fine. Of course our flight was an hour later this year, but whatever.

No traffic, got to the offsite parking lot, parked in our reserved space (because I got fidgety yesterday thinking there might not be space). Shuttle was there before we even got out of the car. The handle on my suitcase broke as DH was taking it out fo the car. That will be a pain to deal with. It also made the ME tag kind of complicated. I had extra tags - I SHOULD have put them in my backpack because they would have been REALLY useful. Picked up one other man and we went directly to our terminal. Definitely NOT what happened last year!

Went through the dedicated Business Class line to check the bags - waited less than a minute. Things were going swimmingly until the woman whipped out a tape measure and told me while my bag is under 50 lbs. it is TOO BIG and it's a $49 charge! WTH is THAT??? This is the SAME BAG I take to WDW every year and I have NEVER been told it is oversize! Paid the $49. The thing that chaps me is I could have checked TWO smaller bags for free.

The security line had maybe 30 people in front of us - NOT 200 like last year. They had multiple lines moving, not ONE like last year. DS went through the normal metal detector, DH and I went through the body scanner, that was that.

Got to the gate about 5:30. Sat there for 2 hours. Departed on time and here we are.

Yeah! It's like I want to cheer for you! Go Jacks Go! You finally made it! How's the eye and DS toe? BTW my Neice went with my DD on her 8th grade trip!!! Another Cheer! So I can rest up this weekend. That suitcase debacle is crazy!!!!I can't wait to read more of your report!

We are here!

Flight came in right on time. We had the most awesome gay flight attendant! He plopped down in DS's seat while DS was in the restroom and we had a fabulous chat. Just before we landed he gave me his contact info on napkin. I need to send him a friend request on FaceBook.

MCO was uneventful.

Magical Express went to CBR and Pop first, then Jambo and finally Kidani. We got checked in, villa was ready (same one we had 2 years ago - just a teeny bit disappointed that it's pool view ), bought our APs right at the concierge desk. The resort does NOT sell TIW cards - we had to get that at the park.

We got organized and headed out to AK. Bought the TIW card, rode Everest stand-by (posted wait 25 minutes, but it was 35). Grabbed a snack at Yak & Yeti CS then watched the parade.

Now we are back at the room. Magical Express managed to magically deliver all 3 bags this time, so that's good. I called down for the Owner's Locker, the turn-down lady came by and helped us make up the pull-out sofa for DS. She is so sweet - she's the same lady who was here in 2009.

Now I am having a glass of relatively unremarkable wine from the lounge. DH and DS had some snacks - a goat cheese tart and some other hot little thing, some cheese & turkey roll-ups, carrots with ranch dip.

We're having dinner at Jiko, then a cocktail meet at Victoria Falls at 9 PM.

Today is Gay Day at Magic Kingdom! We're kicking it off with breakfast at Crystal Palace, Dole Whip meet this afternoon, closing it out with a Wishes cruise tonight! Hopefully we'll take lots of pics!
