It's so great that you get to meet T but hey that's your first meet without me there too

Yeah, me too.
Anyway, contrary to popular belief, Im more of a big picture person than one who sweats the minute details.
You WHAT?
I futz around with those details only because I know that if I put in the time early, Ill be able to kick back and enjoy the big picture-style Disney trip once Im there.
Dude! We need to ride this together!!If forced to single out a ride to label Favorite, I suppose Id have to go with Tower of Terror (TOT). Anything that drops me repeatedly and makes me feel weightless is a winner in my book.Couple that with some amazing Imagineering and a nod to a creeptastic TV show, and Im a happy camper.
Where ever did the time go?? I can't believe he's going to be 7!
Traveler #2: Leo. Leo is my soon-to-be-7-year-old son and fellow WDW addict.
So, no Gramma on the trip, but theres always a possibility shell show up in an installment, so I thought it best to introduce her.
A few other DISer buddies just might make it, too (you know who you are) Im wishing on every Disney star they do.
The WHO???? (NORogerDaltrey)
Traveling DIS Family #1: The Waldos! T, her husband Andy, daughter Maddie and son Evan. Also Ts dad, Waldo, and her mom, TE.
Love ya, my friend!
I first met T shortly after I joined and began posting on the DIS. I was pretty unfamiliar with Internet discussion boards on which vast numbers of strangers congregate, and was pretty suspicious of who might be on them. But something about T just clicked with me I liked her instantly and was excited to meet her in person after chatting online for more than a year. Real life turned out to just be an extension of the DIS; T was everything I thought shed be and more, as evidenced by the very real friendship weve forged since that time!
Yuppers.... good times, good times!
We had a great time getting to know each other with our fellow DIS friends in Summer of 2007, and repeated the process in Summer 2008. In both cases, we included our kids to say they hit it off is a major understatement. To this day, Leo wonders aloud what his Disney Friends are doing and when hell get to see them next. I frequently do the same.![]()
Ooh, ooh!!! I'm hoping I get to meet the real Michelle and clan, too! Flat Michelle was so much fun, I'm betting real Michelle is way more fun!Traveling DIS Family #2: TheDISneyFamily! Okay, were ALL DISney families, but this is the DISney Family, as so-named on the DIS.Michelle, her husband Steve, daughter Jordan, son Conner, and daughter Brenna.
RIIIIIIIGHT.
Not that Im enabling, mind you.![]()
Next: Six-year-olds are the most interesting planners
Grammas Favorite ride, by the way, is the drive back home.

Not unexpectedly, Leos Favorite rides change continually. Nowadays, it would be a toss-up between the Jungle Cruise and the People Mover (or TTA but Leo calls it by its true and proper name.)

Sadly, the plans some other DIS friends with whom we traveled last year dont mesh with our vacation dates, nor do the plans of others weve yet to meet in person and would someday like to. Both situations make me sad.![]()

Nope. This will be our first DVC stay. We're pretty excited! It will also be our longest WDW trip yet - 9 nights.Woo hoo for going in July! But boo hoo for missing you by mere weeks.
I forget - have you guys stayed at SSR yet? I know you'll LOVE it!
Jenny's a big Jungle Cruise fan. She wants to apply for a cruise director position in about 20 years or so from now when we retire. Not unexpectedly, Leos Favorite rides change continually. Hi Rosie!Hi V !!!
Well, "Vi" failed that job completely last time around. And I quote:So whose jobi s it to keep an eye on Waldo this year.
Yes and no. Ultimately, the good outweighs the bad, but it is sometimes nice to have a second adult on hand, y'know? Now that Leo uses the men's room, things are a bit more complicated...No Gramma!I'm sure you like it better that way though.
Thank you so much! He's been particularly sweet and cute this weekend.I Love reading your updates, they really are hilarious. You have such a unique writing style![]()
BTW...Leo is adorable![]()
Absolutely!Awe!Please don't be sad about those of us who can't make it this time. We'll see each other eventually. It will be just that much better when we do!!!!
![]()
I know, right?!No Gramma????For now, anyway!!!

That's funny! You guys are on my "list" too - our trips HAVE to overlap one of these days, right?!So jealous you get to hang with Michelle and her family. Of course, they only live about 2 hours from me, I guess I could just hop in the car and see her...![]()
I'm doubly excited for you now! Much as I love trying other places, too, SSR is one of my favorite places at WDW, especially in summer. It's just soooo relaxing!Nope. This will be our first DVC stay. We're pretty excited! It will also be our longest WDW trip yet - 9 nights.![]()
Dude. I haven't told Leo yet that it'll be closed!I'm kind of bummed as I'm a People Mover fan as well.![]()
Ugh! Yes, you must find some DIS time in there!I may need Dis Meets as a break from the Family!!DSIL is not known for going along with others plans by that I mean MINE!!!!
So September could be interesting !!!!!

Hi LL!Well, well...Looky here...the cat dragged me back in...a little tired, cranky and disheveled, but hey - I'm here.
Me neither.And I'm not happy.
About not being able to be listed as one of the travelers in this PTR.
Exactly!It's August.
It's tradition.
It's crazy, but it's tradition.
I should just go ahead and push the button.
Don'tcha think?
And by now, they've probably un-blocked my number at MS...since you've taken their attention off of me, thank you very much!
I was going to mention that possibility if you didn't do so yourself in the next couple weeks.I could always cancel if we can't make it...
I have 1 word for Tony.
Fuego's.
too CUTE!!both of you
Gramma’s “Favorite” ride, by the way, is the drive back home.
ME TOO!!!A few other DISer buddies just might make it, too (you know who you are)… I’m wishing on every Disney star they do. But I’ll save their intros for now, so as not to jinx anything.

I hope I can make it work, but it doesnt look good. P and Happy are going to a hockey camp that week, if I were able to chg the dates I would then have to chg airfare and deal with those penalties on 2 trips. GOod news is P said I could look into it but I just have a feeling its going to be lots of $$$$$
Probably a smart idea.Dude. I haven't told Leo yet that it'll be closed!![]()
