Donating to the FL Tornado victims?

The Salvation Army is in the area assisting people. Habitat for Humanity has pledged assistance, but haven't come up with a solid plan yet.

My son and 20 of his best friends at college here in the Northeast are all booked JET BLUE to fly to Florida to build houses for Habitat for Humanity.

This is part of their "Campus Ministry" organization on campus. The entire week, air fare, housing (in a church) meals will cost him $600.00.

He leaves March 3-11th. I am very proud of him as many young college students fly off to tropical islands for their Spring Break, he will be helping those in need.

He did call me yesterday to say THEY MAY BE FLYING TO HELP THOSE IN THIS RECENT TORNADO...but that is may be. Their original destination was/is Miami!!

I think I will donate to Habitat for humanity as I helped build a house in NJ last year and found the organization to be very worthwhile (minus the junk mail they send me now! )
