I do have to say I never felt rushed at Donald's Rest. in fact my waitress told us to take our time till Mickey and Donald made their way to us, I think the food was great and sooo was the service and we took our time we were there over an hour...

Interesting thread it seems that those with very early PSs had a little bit of difficulty with coordinating the characters.
Camcolt, I hope you complained about this type of treatment. It would have been upsetting to my party as well.
We had a very nice experience 3 weeks ago at Donald's. The characters were great. I have pictures of my niece and nephew with both Goofy and Pluto as we were one of the last families left and the characters seemed to be in a playful mood. The hostess and server were both very nice and said if we did not see a character to tell them and they would get the character. We were trying to make a fastpass for the safari, which I had gone to get while everyone else went to the restaurant. The only downside was that someone else answered to the CMs vague call of names and parties and they thought we were already seated when we were still out on the porch. Thank goodness my sister was listening and figured out the mistake as we had waited for 20 minutes when we were told it would only be a few minutes.
About those pictures the CM offered to make all keychains for us. We did get 8 of them for $32.00.
Food was terrific. We will definately be going back on future trips.

OK my 2 cents worth:

We ate here a couple of weeks ago. 9.30 PS. We didn't feel rushed apart from when we had to take our cutlery and stuff from the tray ourselves at our table - ahhhhh pressure on deciding how much cutlery to have

We had some great character interaction but we thought that Mickey seemed shorter than usual.

We were a bit disappointed by the food. We regularly eat at Cape May Cafe and have enjoyed Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace in the past. However we found the food not to taste as fresh, but we enjoyed the sausage patties. And then when we went up to the fruit and bread bar we thought the choice was limited and they had run out of Krispy-Kremes except for those with sprinkes on. It almost seemed as if they had run out of lots of the stuff that was supposed to be on this bar but it wasn't late.

I think we would have coped with the plastic plates and mugs had the food been good but I do prefer china. We personally wouldn't eat here again.

IMHO china and a buffet geared toward kids do not go together. To me food taste just as good on plastic.
