Donald's Breakfast question

Ok I have a question.
I am going to WDW in May
I just made PS for the Donald breakfast at AK. It is an early entry day and the only time they had was 8 am. Is this a good idea or should I eat breakfast in the room in order to hit the park in full swing at the beginning.
The day I am going is alos a late night for AK so it is open from 8-8. It normally only takes me about 4 hours to do the park, if I start at the very beginning.
So I guess I'm asking your opinions on this one. I'm so confused with planning. I'm not sure how much I want to push my group (3 newbies, I'm a vet).
Thanks a bunch! :wave2:

We go to Donald's every year, and our strategy is to book it at 8AM, which gets you into the park early. However, we wouldn't do it on an early entry day.

On a normal day (by normal I mean non early entry) when you are done breakfast, the park is barely opening, and it is almost as good as your own personal early entry! For about an hour, there are NO lines anywhere. From Donalds, we have a family "volunteer", who runs over and gets fast passes to the Safari. When we are done breakfast, we hit Dinosaur, then go back to walk on the Safari.

If you have the 8AM breakfast on an early opening day, when you leave Donalds the park is already full.

Hope you have a great trip!

For those early entry mornings at any park, we try to get later breakfast seatings...more like 10 or so. That way, we get to do a lot before we eat breakfast. Then, if the park is getting crowded, we leave and go to a different park. I will only take an 8:00 seating if the park opens at 9. Then I am in the park when it opens.
At AK, if I remember correctly, DinoLand doesn't open early....so if you have PS at Donald's Breakfastasaurus, you can get a jump on those that are waiting to get into that area of AK. We found this to be true when we had a 10:00 seating at Donald's last summer. AK opened at 8, we wanted to do some of the attractions before breakfast in that area, so we headed over by 9 and found we had to wait for them to open!!! But it was still pretty uncrowded.
