Donald, Mickey, Goofy, and Hubby **New 4-22-2007 Lots of pictures**

Okay, So Heather and I finished together and were both pretty exhausted. After we crossed the finish line they presented us with our Mickey Medals, then off to the Goofy tent to collect my Goofy medal (I really love that medal).

How cool is that?? Your medals are awesome :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Love the pictures Jodi :yay:

What did you think of Hollywood & Vine? We weren't that impressed with it but sure did love Fantasmic!

My DD loves Stitch and were going to the character breakfast on our next trip so it was great to see your photos!

Terrific update :thumbsup2

popcorn:: Just saw your TR earlier and am now caught up! Great read!

Congrats on the marathon!!!

Can't wait for more! Your pics are awesome! :goodvibes

Hollywood & Vine was okay, not the best -- not the worst. Service was pretty good, and food was okay.

Hey, I read your trip report, you went to Hoop Dee Doo -- do you recommend that for an anniversary type dinner? Bob and I aren't really the Victoria and Albert's type.

Your DD will love the breakfast!

Terrific update :thumbsup2

Well if you like corny jokes, all the food you can eat and free beer then I say go for it. We had a great time but we don't get out much ;) :lmao:

kay7979 wrote a very good description of HDD in her TR a week ago. I recommend you read that and then make your decision :thumbsup2

I read part of the report -- love the way that she writes.....still have to read more, but skipped ahead to the review-- it's sounds like fun (but stay away from the wine). I might go for it.....although, I'm still on the fence a little bit about it!

After we were finished at the Stitch character breakfast -- we headed out to the monorail.....I kind of smirk and ask Bob, "Hey, why don't we ask if we can sit in the front?"

Bob goes ahead and asks -- and the wish was granted:goodvibes It is so cool riding up in the front of the monorail...The driver (pilot) was very nice but gave me a look like I was totally out of my mine (keep in mind, I had all of my medals on).

The conversation while in the front consisted of, well.....what's next? New York Marathon? :scared1: Couldn't even think of that.....at least not at that very moment, where I was pretty sore from running/walking two days in a row -- Bob was still amazed that I was in the mood to go to the parks that day.

So, we arrive at the Magic Kingdom....we really don't have that much time - - to be totally honest I think we only took a ride on POC, BTMRR, and made a stop at Toon Town Hall of fame....to get a few pictures with a few characters.

We first met with Minnie:

Then, Pluto:

Then we met with Goofy for awhile (Goofy clapped for me -- not only was I wearing all of medals -- I also had the T-shirt saying I survived the Goofy Challenge).

It was after we left Goofy that I really started to get sad - - I had such a good weekend, and it was ended way too fast!

My only regrets is that I didn't get to stay longer, and that I didn't get to spend too much time with Heather and Jim -- but hey, I will be back in October/November timeframe.

After leaving Goofy we made our way towards the exit.....BUT wait something was missing. I feel like I forgot to do something and as we pass the MK bakery, it clicked -- I almost forgot to have a Mickey Rice Crispy treat! I grab that and we are on our way to POFQ, to collect our bags and wait for our ride from Tiffany.

The driver from Tiffany picks us up on time and we are on our way:guilty: . We get to the airport and get our pass to get on the plane.

As we make our way through the airport, going through security.....I quickly realize that we won't really have dinner.....so I stop at Starbucks, and get a bagel and my favorite......a Latte (with skim milk of course, I always worry about my weight).

Well, two hours to go and what the hect are we going to do at the airport for that long.....Should I take out my Mary Poppins book and start to read it again? Nah, I decide to just finish my drink and bagel, and people watch......I couldn't believe I was still seeing that many people from the marathon/half marathon/Goofy Challenge. It's kind of funny, I bumped into a guy that had done the Goofy Challenge too and he was totally amazed, not only had I completed the Goofy Challenge but that was my first marathon! He congratulated me (I did the same) but he added a look like I was totally off my rocker.

Okay, we get to a point where it's a little less than an hour to when we have to grab the flight and decided that I would like to stop in the ladies room, I have Bob hold onto my medals......and walk down the hallway.

When, I get back he was talking to one of the TNT members, and the funniest thing is I knew her, I had started training with them but had not raised enough money to continue with them (I felt so bad -- I tried really hard). She didn't know I was still running at Disney! anyhow, she was totally amazed that I completed both.

Okay, time to board the plane......her row seat selection came up first, it's after she had boarded that Bob told me she wanted to hold my medals, but he didn't dare hand them over, because I would kill him (I wouldn't but they are very precious to me).

Coming up next more pictures of some sonveniers!

I wake up the next morning and would you believe.......Who had my medals in their little claws?

STITCH!!!!!

Love this photo!

Up next --- lessons learned from this trip (and hopefully I won't forget by the next trip)!

That's awesome that they didn't even mind there were no kids. I want to do that too!!! I'm jealous.
