I also wanted to have waiting for him a Mimosa (we never tried it before) but I was curious to what kind of breakfast goes well with a Mimosa – does anyone know? :confused3 I tried do a search online but it wasn’t very helpful.

Just about any kind of breakfast (well, maybe not Frosted Flakes!). I would go with whatever his favorite kind of breakfast is. Eggs, pastries, waffles, whatever. Mimosas are just fancy OJ, so whatever goes with OJ will work. Sounds like lots of fun though! I remember our first anniversary all those years ago! Amazing what you can plan and do when you don't have 3 kids!

Thank you :) I thought that Mimosas would work with anything an OJ would go with....just wanted it confirmed (since I never tried it before).

So I have decided to unveil the surprise to my husband the weekend before; is it bad to tell your husband to beat it for a night? Oh well, I told him he has to get lost for the night of October 21st. This way I will have time to set up the full surprise.

You remember this statement from my last post about the trip, right? Well, my husband almost ruined my plan. He doesn't feel comfortable asking his parents to stay overnight :furious: .

So you may be asking what am I going to do, mawhawhahaha :stir: Why of course, this means getting other involved even more than they already are.

I promptly e-mailed his sister, who knows about the trip, and asked her to give a call to the parents about this - I only had to get her more involved because my work right now, it is very hard to do anything....make phone calls, anything!!! of course, my wonderful sister-in-law didn't have a problem with helping out.

Kris (my hubby's sister) told me no problem, his parents will be contacting him to do some work that weekend -- or will figure something out.

Whew!!! He has to stop scaring me like this :teeth:

Wow, 180 days out came up really fast. I can't believe how well plans are coming along and it was relatively easy to get ADR's.

I won't have hubby with me for a couple of days so for myself I have booked:
Thursday, January 4th - Dinner at the Crystal Palace
Friday, January 5th - Breakfast in Norway with the princesses. For a late lunch I will be eating at LeCelliar, and then for a light dinner meeting with the WISH runner. (In Bed early)

That evening my husband will be at the resort.

The next morning,(Saturday, January 6th) I start up the race early so no plans have been made for breakfast (I will just kind of wing that).....Hubby doesn't know it but he will be cheering me on during the half marathon this day, later we will be going to Animal Kingdom, and then later in the afternoon we will make our way to LeCellier to meet up with a couple of friends for Dinner. (In bed early)

Sunday - I will be up early again, to run the marathon, the remainder of the day will be spent in MGM (Disney Studios), Dinner at Hollywood & Vine and that evening staying up later - going to Fantasmic.

Monday - last day at Disney World, this day will most likely be spent at the Magic Kingdom....We have the Stitch character breakfast at 9:00.

I'm so very excited about all of this. I already started a box of things that I will be sending ahead of time (so as to not forget anything).

Only a few more months until I can share all of this with my husband.

Hi Everyone,

Well, of course all of you know how hard I've been working on getting things together for my husband (for his suprise in October).

Yesterday, I received all of the merchandise from Peg (Feralpeg) and decided to start placing things in Bob's basket last night - I love the way that it came out (Thank you Peg for your help). I have posted a picture below of how the basket currently looks, as the time gets closer I will be putting it in basket wrap:

Now that all of this craziness is over and I have all of my ADR's - I will have to get back full force into my training.

I will post again on this thread in October --- Once I have given the basket to Bob.

Wow Jodi I'm impressed!!!!!!!! Your wedding picture was adorable by the way!

Thank you for the great compliment Dave and Minnie. The basket was so much fun to put together --- now, I just have to wait to give it to Bob :cloud9: .

Hi Jodi! Thanks for sharing the details leading up to your goofy weekend and your anniversary suprise! Your DH is gonna love it!

Does he know you're running the goofy? If so, does he just think you're going by yourself?

I wish I could pull off a surprise like that, but DH is so nosy with the credit card bill, he would see if I charged an airline ticket and park tickets!

We are hoping to get to WDW with no kids next May for our 10th anniversary...and if we do, the best I can hope for are some surprise ADR's. :teeth:

Good luck, and I'll be following along! I'd also love to hear about your running history. Do you have a WISH journal?

Hi Kim,

DH doesn't know that I am doing the Goofy Challenge....but I know he will support it (he'll be worried but he'll support me). I'm looking so forward to the race! :goodvibes and going back to Disney, of course.

Oh - my DH doesn't look at my bills :teeth: I guess that's why it is a little easier for me to plan the surprise.

Make sure to put on your reservations that you are on your anniversary trip - you could get special treatment :cloud9:. I loved it there on our honeymoon.

I don't have a current WISH Journal - I guess, I should restart the old one (it hasn't been updated since sometime around my wedding (last October)). For right now though I check in on the weekly running thread on the WISH boards.....until the beginning of this year, I was always very active but not a runner.

I will continue to update this thread about the surprise, etc. :goodvibes

OK, so I just followed the link from your siggie to find this thread and was wondering if you told DH yet?????

I have - wow, I can't believe I didn't post it  . He now knows that he is going....I threw him a little party with balloons, etc.

He is very excited to be going in January :teeth:

Wow, your basket is so flippin cute!!! I love the Yeti! (I'm starting to feel like he needs a name!)

I guess I'm going to *just* miss you, since I get there on the 8th! Maybe we'll pass in the airport.

Thanks Crystal -- that's a great compliment! You're right he does need a name.....I will have to think

hmmm.....we may pass in the World - - I will be spending the day in Magic Kingdom that day, leaving late afternoon....evening flight :goodvibes Can't leave Disney too early :teeth:

Sorry everyone I'm a little late posting my trip report (just a few weeks).

My first day was a little bit more jam packed than I originally planned it to be, hindsight I guess I shouldn't have planned anything for my first day.

Woke up around 2:30 to get up and shower, take one last look and make sure that I have everything that I'm supposed to. Do I have my registration information to pick up my race packet later on today? Yep....it's there.

No matter how many times I look at what I've packed I'm convinced that I've forgotten something, but even if I did all that I would have to do is give a call to my husband and make sure he is able to bring it for me the following day.

Finally, I realize it's 3:45 my stepfather is here to pick me up and bring me to the airport. My husband helps me bring out my luggage, etc. to the breezway area.....off with a quick kiss (see you tomorrow honey:goodvibes ).

Get up to the Delta gate, I have to confess a little nervous because this is my first trip where I will be solo. Get my boarding pass, go through security....no problem what so ever.

Thank god, I always have the tendency to worry when going through security that the steel rod in my back will set off the alarm.

Okay, now I had an hour and half until take-off. Most of the restaurants, etc. are closed in the airport at this hour.....ooh, wait found one. I get myself a latte and a bagel and go sit in the waiting area for my flight.

Until they start boarding, I decided to take out my book and begin to read my book -- Mary Poppins. You may be saying to yourself "A children's book?" Yes, the children's book. I decided to start reading this book because I really want to go and see the broadway show and have heard from several people that there is more to Mary Poppins than what Disney shows you in the movie. The broadway show is a little bit more based on the book than the movie.

:rolleyes1 Altough, I really got some weird looks from my fellow passengers for reading Mary Poppins.

Yeah, they started boarding. Wow, this plane seems much smaller than the flights I've been on with Song (god, I loved Song). Oh no, my carry-on....I can't get it up in the storage area.....

Finally, one of the other passengers realize what a problem I'm having and volunteered to put my bag in the area above. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Yeah, I'm ready......Here I come DisneyWorld.

I arrived in MCO a little bit before 10:00.....Yipee, I'm here! and it was already a beautifull day outside -- I could just feel it, this was going to be one of my best trips.

Although, I have to confess I was a little bit nervous about the Goofy Challenge. For those of you that do not know anything about the Goofy Challenge -- it takes place during Marathon weekend -- You do the 1/2 Marathon and then the next day you wake up and do a full marathon.

That's very close to 40 miles in two days :scared1: .

Go down to the baggage claim area and found that my driver from Tiffany Towncar was already there waiting for me. Since I had only brought a carry-on, I went up and introduced myself.

Jack Jordan was my driver -- what a nice guy. I have to say I really enjoyed the ride and hearing about all of the attractions in Orlando.

We quickly stopped at Publix grocery store -- just picked up some water and Gatorade. Jack, was waiting outside for me and as soon as I got out of the store -- he took care of the carriage and loading everything into the car.

Next stop-- POFQ

I swear the ride to POFQ went so fast....I really enjoyed talking to Jack. Much better than the driver we had the previous time, so of course, next time I travel I will use them again and request Jack.

Okay, I'm here -- go to check in.....My room was ready for me (and it wasn't even noon)  . Even better I had a ground room floor, it's like they knew that I was doing the Goofy Challenge or something.....and said "Oh that poor girl, she's going to be so sore ---let's have mercy on her and give her the ground floor."

Go to my room -- Oh my god -- I already have a towel animal

The picture doesn't do it justice.....so incase you can't figure out what it is -- It's a pen holder.

Take a quick walk around the resort

Okay, I'm off to the bus now -- Going for a little bit to MGM to redeem my Passholder certificate. Woo hoo, I also got a button -- making an official citizen of MGM.

I quickly go in to check what kind of wait there was for TOT. OMG -- forget it! Let's go see what characters are out today. Oooh, there's Daisy and Donald.....at this point my husband calls just to catch up and ask me how the flight was, what I was doing, etc. While on the phone with Bob, I notice Daisy and Donald are taking a break and Chicken Little is coming out in their place -- okay, I'm ditching this line.

But I found myself some other Disney Classics:
DSC00748-1.jpg

Okay, I still have time....let me do something while I'm here....Great Movie ride it is! I know a lot of people don't care for this ride, I have to be one of the few that love it!

Wow, would you look at the time -- I still have to pick up my packets for the race and a half. Let's go find that bus for the Expo. This bus got packed in no time.

Wow, WWOS is amazing looking.....looking at the pictures I really couldn't picture how big this complex really was. OMG, look at all of the people where am I going? I quickly realize what line I was supposed to be in.....it was huge. The Milk house opens at 3:00 (15 more minutes).

Once I get in -- I try and get my bearings of what booth to go to. My registration card has two numbers one for the full and one for the half. Where do I go....or do I just go to one of the Goofy Booths. One of the volunteers directs me to the booth where she thinks I should go, and it was wrong....not a big deal.

After a couple of trys I find the correct booth -- I should have gone with my own instinct and just went to the Goofy booth. Got my numbers and my racing chips.....now I go downstairs to pick up my goody bag which has my shirt in it :goodvibes .

After getting my goody bag....I take a quick look at my watch -- Oh I better hurry up and get the stuff I wanted. I quickly purchase a limited edition poster that was made for Marathon weekend.

On the look out for stuffed animals, pins, and shirts. :woohoo: :woohoo: I found them. Deciding was the hardest part. I quickly decided on getting all of three stuffed animals -- Donald, Mickey, and Goofy (kind of to match the medals I would be getting). T-shirt was I survived the Goofy Challenge (now you know I have to complete the whole thing right), one other shirt....

Oh look at the time, I have to go I have a reservation at Crystal Palace and I'm starving (not to mention tired).

Well, I didn't realize how the buses ran at WWoS (not as frequently, as they do to the parks). The is only one park that the bus goes to directly and that's MGM and by the time I go to MGM, it's 20 minutes until the time of my reservation.

Time to find that cell phone and give a call to the reservation line.....whew, not a problem. They have a 7:00 reservation open -- "I'll take it!"

I arrive at Magic Kingdom at a little bit after 6:00. I have some time......I'll ride the train -- to grab a bit of relaxation time.

On my way up the steps I realize that the decorations are still up from Christmas.

DSC00752.jpg

Finally, it's time to eat.....OMG Thank god. It felt so good to be able to sit down and relax, at first I felt a little weird being there by myself and thought.....Oh no the characters won't want anything to do with me....WRONG!

As long as you show an interest in them, they will be happy to take a picture with you.

Dinner was really good -- never had dinner here, only breakfast (breakfast is great too).

Okay.....what to do now. As I walk out I realize that it is just about parade time, there was no way to get over to Space Mountain. I decide to go towards POC. Hmmmm... 30 minute wait, I'll do it.

Wow, Captain Jack and everyone looked amazing! Infact, I wasn't the only one in my boat leaning in more and going "Wow"

After riding POC, I decided to go toward Thunder Mountain Railroad, Okay....this also has a longer wait time, POC didn't take as long as it said.....I'll go for it!

How wrong was I? hehe, very. After getting off this ride.......it was fifteen minutes till closing time.....I grabbing a bus now! Luckily, this bus took off a little after I got on. I was exhausted and I still had to grab my package that I sent ahead of time.

When returned back to my room, after grabbing the package I had sent ahead of time.....get to my room and realize that someone elses bag is in my room:scared1: .

So strange, call up the front desk and they said that they would send some right away to pick up the bag. Not even five minutes later baggage claim came for it. I just hope no one was waiting a long time for their bag. Glad baggage claim picked it up quickly.

Tomorrow, I get to hang around in EPCOT! and have breakfast with a bunch of princesses :goodvibes .

Hey...I finally made my way here...why is this TR still in the pre-trip section??

Love your little towel animal - it's so cute :)

You had someone else's bag in your room  strange!

Waiting for the next installment :thumbsup2

Wow - I didn't even get to the second day......sorry everyone, I will be adding more soon! :goodvibes

Just a little bump to let ya know were still waiting for day 2 :cool1:
