Dolphin transportation question

We are staying at the Dolphin for the first time at the end of June. We want to go to the MK for EMH on Sunday, and I can't decide whether to drive or take the bus. What can you tell me about the transportation there? We would like to be at the main gate of the MK by 7:30. If we drive, we would park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly to get an early monorail (vs. waiting at the TTC until 7:30).

I haven't actually stayed at the Dolphin but I'm pretty sure the only WDW transportation is by bus unless you want to trek all the way through Epcot to catch the monorail - not really the best option. Since WDW buses are used for Dolphin & Swan even though they aren't Disney owned, I would think the bus schedules would apply the same as far as EMH -- meaning they should be running on the earlier schedule to get you to MK for this event. I think S/D shares buses with BW,Y & B anyway in which case you definetly won't have a problem.

HTH's:wave:

We've never had a problem with WDW transportation from the Swan or Dolphin. Just time yourselves accordingly, as you would at any other onsite property.

We stayed at the Swan last year and did not have any problems with the disney trans portation. It is was about 15-20 minutes by bus to the MK.

I know that the buses are shared by the Swan/Dolphin and Y&B Club. Can you tell me the order of the stops?

You should post this question on the Transportation board.

I'm not sure if a bus will get you to MK by 7:30; Epcot resorts buses tend to be shared by several resorts. Sounds to me like you may want to drive. The resort monorail starts running at 7:00, but the express monorail may not be running that early, so expect stops at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. If you leave at 6:45 you should get to MK by 7:30. It's only a 5-minute drive from Dolphin to the parking lot; most of the time is walking to, waiting for, and riding the monorail.

The bus will be your best option. If you're at the bus stop no later than 7:00, you'll be there most likely no later than 7:30ish.

If you drive, you'll have to park in the Minnie lot, and walk into the TTC. From there, you then have to take the Resort monorail to the MK. This process will take about 10 minutes longer than the previous way.

Well, there ya go! Thanks Chip N Dale, even though I'm not the one looking for the info, it's great to have input from an expert!::yes::

Order of stops -

Swan -> Dolphin -> Y/B Club -> BW

However, that is subject to change - on my last 2 trips the busses did not stop at the B/Y Club only at BW.

Morning routes for the MK:

Swan -> Dolphin -> (Boardwalk)

Afternoon Routes for the MK:

Swan -> Dolphin

Thanks for all the information. I didn't really want to drive, and now it sounds like I won't need to.

Now to tell my family we need to be at the bus stop by 6:50...
