Dolphin room questions

I am sorry - I tried doing a search but it was confusing to me. We are staying for the first time at the dolphin on the teacher's rate in June. I joined Starwood after my reservation but what do I need to do step by step to try to request a nice room? I have never even been close to the dolphin hotel before and have only stayed at Moderate resorts.

This is a big trip for us cost wise and I want my teenage kids to be impressed. When do I request? What do I request? Where do I request? Will it cost more?

Sorry for all the questions - just getting excited about going.

thanks for any help.

Hi Cindy,

First of all, you should put your SPG number on your reservation. Then, you can login to SPG and add your requests to the ressie. A week or so before your trip, you can email your requests again (there is a link on the Swan & Dolphin website). Since this is your first stay, you should probably mention that in your room request. It may not change anything but you never know.;) I got a free upgrade to a better view room when the CM knew that it was our first stay.

We stayed at the Dolphin in September. I would ask for a corner room above floor 14. That's the best view for the fireworks at Epcot & MGM. I would call and tell the hotel that you want a fireworks view. The halls are quite long so I would ask for a room fairly close to the elevator. The nicest thing about the area is that you can walk on the Boardwalk and have a great view of Epcot's Illumination Show.
