I lucked up at work and got an extra day to add to my 12/10-12/18 vacation. There were no Disney rooms left, but the Dolphin did have a room for us on 12/9 so I booked at the government employee rate of $149. I didn't know that I had to pay to park. It's only one day, so it's not that big of a deal. My question is in regards to this statement over at allearsnet.com...."Day parking is $8 for each entry into the parking lot. Overnight is $8." So if I get in at 8:00pm on the 9th, do I have to pay $8 to park overnight or $16 to park overnight and till checkout on the 10th? What about people who drive to the resort and stay for a week...do they pay $16 per day & night or does the $8 cover the entire day and night?

Just came back from the Dolphin.....It is $8 a night to self park. Once you check-in you use your room key to get in and out of the parking lot without being charged more. If you don't have a room key you will be charged $8 for each time you park! Hope that helps! :sunny:

The parking fee came from the fact that swan and dolphin not being owned by disney, did not have the disney gate gaurds. So many people would drive and park there to walk to epcot and boardwalk (we used to).

So they set up the auto gates to fix that.
