Dolphin or POFQ?

We go fairly often and for the same reasons you're questioning your choice, is why we end up at Dolphin or Swan more times than on disney property in a moderate. It's so close and price and you get walkability/boat to two parks, the boardwalk and dining options. We really love POFQ/POR for the theming but you can't beat the deluxe amenities with S/D. EEH at Epcot are really great and for such a short trip, I think the extra cost is worth it. I wouldn't even bother with OKW for such a short trip, it's bus only to the parks and not worth the extra cost for such a short trip. Yes, the rooms are nice and big but unless you feel strongly about everyone being in one room, it's not worth the extra $.
Thank you! I agree about OkW and don’t feel strongly at all about the same big villa-especially bc we will not be in the rooms much. I hope we can also enjoy a bit of time at the pool!

Has anyone mentioned the extended evening hours TRON queue? If you're deluxe, there's a third 6pm virtual queue you can enroll in on those nights.
Thank you for the reminder about MK EH!

If we were going to be there Wed., I think I’d definitely go for the Dolphin! As it is, it will be Sun. afternoon through Tues. night. At this moment, all of you are helping me to feel good about the Dolphin, but I’d still love to hear anyone’s additional thoughts!

I am so grateful for everyone’s input!

I know this isn’t a major problem in the grand scheme of things, but Disney planning involves several trade-offfs, and I’ve found it to be extremely stressful. While I don’t want to be overly extravagant or wasteful, I also want the investment of this time, including personal days off work!and a lot of money, to be worthwhile. I don’t want to be so frugal that I feel I’ve wasted our money and time.

Thanks again!

I recently stayed at the Swan and make sure the $40 resort fee is included in your calculation.
Thank you for the reminder! Marriott did include it in the breakdown. For the connector deal, it’s just one $40 fee each day rather than one for each room, and I confirmed this on the phone a few times. We will also owe $72 in parking for 2 nights after taxes. Thanks again for the reminder!

wow that’s good only one resort fee for the two rooms. We recently stayed at the Swan and the rate looked so good online but we didn’t know about the parking fee and resort fee on top so it was actually more expensive than some other Disney resorts however we were doing an Epcot centered trip and it was still cheaper than Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach.
