Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has done the interactive dolphin experience! I have a reservation for June 25 and I'm very excited. I know you don't get to swim with them, but that doesn't bother me!

Was it worth it? Can you buy just one photo? (I never get the memory maker since all the photographers are willing to use my camera for me, but I know you can't bring anything with you past the lockers.

We were supposed to do this in May but our reservation was cancelled (they didn't even tell us, lucky I checked beforehand) due to "refurbishment". Wish I could tell you how it was :(
I think I read a couple of reviews on Tripadvisor, or maybe it was Touringplans. If you google dolphins in depth review you will find them

I would look into SeaWorld or Discovery Cove for something like this.
We decided, especially in light of how Disney (mis)handled this, we would go to Discovery Cove when we decide to do it. There wasn't time this past trip, but when we take a longer trip we'll take the time to do it that way. There you get to actually swim with the dolphins, vs at disney just getting in the water and petting them, and getting a photo. It's not much more expensive at Discovery cove, but what you get is a lot more.

Agreed. Discovery Cove was the BEST experience ever. And we are hardcore Disney people. So worth the time and money.

Just curious if there were other fish in the water with you with the Dolphins at discovery cove. I'm terrified of fish (lol don't laugh!) and that would be my main thing.

Don't worry - there aren't! There is a snorkel lagoon with lots of fish but you can easily skip that and enjoy the other features.

Definitely no fish in the dolphin area!!

Oh thanks!!!! Hmmm- do you know if there's a bus I can take there? How far away are the two?

Also, is this an all day thing? When would I leave my resort/when would I be back? I don't know anything about discovery cove but it looks like it would come with breakfast and lunch!

It's an all-inclusive resort. So you get breakfast and lunch included, as well as unlimited snacks throughout the day. Alcohol is included as well. You get snorkel gear if you plan on going snorkeling in the Grand Reef. There is a lazy river where you can swim through. There's a pool where you can sit and relax. With the dolphin swim experience, it's 30 minutes long. You have to reserve it in advanced and when it's you're time to go into the water, they have you watch a 10 minute video beforehand. Then during the experience, you will get to kiss the dolphin and do a dorsle fin ride. It's like right across from sea world so I'm sure you could take a bus. You would just have to walk to and from the bus stop which might be awhile. They provide everything there for you: unlimited towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, sun screen, food, drinks, etc. Honestly, all you really need to bring is a change of clothes and your ID.
