Hi everyone. We cruised on the Magic last February and enjoyed our stingray adventure with Captain Marvin in Grand Cayman. We are taking a short trip to Paradiase Island next week and wanted to know what anyone thinks of the Swim with the Dolphins experience. The cost is quite high for a family of 4, is it worth it? Looking forward to a few days in the sun and help out the Bahamas with our tourism dollars. Thanks for your input.

My DD (7) and I did the Dolphin Encounter during our recent 9/11/04 cruise. DD is not a strong enough swimmer for the "Swim". However the encounter was great....I saw some people doing the Swim, and they looked like they really enjoyed it. It is very expensive, but hey, how often do you get to interact with such incredible creatures? We had such a good time on the Encounter that we will definitely do the Swim when DD is confident enough in the water.

A bit of advice....photos are very expensive if you buy them there. However they do allow you to bring your own waterproof diposable camera in the water with you. I "traded" cameras with another family who was watching while DD and I were in with the dolphin. They took photos of me and DD with our camera and we did the same for them when they were in the water. The photos turned out great and saved us a lot of $ over purchasing the professional photos!

Have fun!

Stacy
