Has anyone done the Dolphin Discovery Tour at HHI? We are taking our first trip there in 3 weeks and this is something we are all interested in, but I have an 8 month old and not sure if it's something I can take him on (in stroller or perhaps infant carrier- do they have rules?)

Also, anyone know the general cost?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, we did this tour on our last trip in Oct and it was fantastic!!! We took a 3 yr old and 1 1/2 yr old and had no problems! Not sure what the restrictions would be with an infant. If you do not get an answer here you can always call the resort directly and I'm sure they can tell you!!!

I'd be interested in that also. How much it is and it is offered from the hotel or from another company?

We took a dolphin tour in July. I'm not sure of the name of it but we booked it while we were there. There is a place by the pool that you book all the activities that require reservations. I believe that Wed. was member day and they gave you a discount. The best thing is to look over the schedule of activities when you get there and plan out the week. We LOVED HH! Our kids really had a lot of fun on the dolphin trip and at the other activities!

We took the dolphin discovery tour offered through DVC - it cost maybe $30 per person - this was 2 years ago so memory isn't the best - kids cost less. our 2yo and 5yo went with us. THere were only 8 people on the boat (including the 4 of us), and yes, we did get right up next to the dolphins (maybe 6 feet away). We're off to HHI next week, and this will be a must-do on the trip. GREAT experience!

Good memory-the Dolphin Cruise still costs $30 a person, I just did it last month. There's a 3 person minimum to go out (that can be an issue in February if 2 people want to go, but no one else) When I went there were only 3 other people on the boat, including a little boy about 1 yo. He just sat in his Mom's lap-he didn't have to wear a life jacket, our captain said that the state law in S.C. for little ones is that the decision on a life jacket is up to the parents. I probably wouldn't do it again, but that's only because when I went it was COLD out there on the water.
