dolphin conceirge with hotwire res.?

We have booked the Dolphin for Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 through Hotwire. Is it true that we cannot use points to purchase concierge access? We have enough points I believe over 9000. If we can't do this what else can we use these for? Thanks for your help.

It is my understanding that you cannot use any SPG benefits with a hotwire or priceline reservation. You also will not get points for the stay. You might try asking, but I would not count on using them.

If your reservation is before 1/1/04 you should be able to use points for CL. You wil be able to earn points for your stay before 1/1/04. The new rules start jan 1 2004. Hope this helps.

I hope that is true about 1-4-04. Do I fax a request for cl with points or wait till we check in. We have never stayed at the Dolphin or Swan so am very new at this. What should we request? Thanks again.

What is hotwire rate? I tried to look for the dolphin hotwire thread. I was checking hotwire and it is showing 4* for 135.00 for the time I am looking at. It is showing these aminities pool, fitness center, golf and tennis nearby and spa services. I would like to know more before I bid.

Fair waring with the Spa Icon and no customer favorite, it could be the Celebration Hotel. I just got that. It is a VERY nice hotel, but does not have the Swan's location.

Also, I did get the Dolphin on Hotwire once and they would not give me the SPG benefits. Most hotels will not give benefits for hotwire/priceline deals. (I can't blame them). My understanding is that the new Swan/Dolphin policy applies to discounted hotel rooms booked thru places like Expedia and maybe even Dreams.

Also, the Wyndam normally shows up as a Customer Fav and has a place where you can read the comments. I have rarely seen the Wyndam that high unless it is a holiday week or something. Normally I find the Wyndam on Hotwire for the mid 70 range. That is why I think you could be looking at the Celebration hotel.

Dec. 29th and the 30th. I guess that is a holiday time. It wasn't listed as a customer favorite. Well at least not when I was checking yesterday, but things can change real quick.

Well I checked this morning and I am not sure. I would say that the hotel with the Spa option is NOT the Wyndam. However, Expedia has the Dolphin for $179 and Wyndam for $150 for those same two nights. You might try going to www.betterbidding.com and doing some reading or even posting. The board people there have a pretty good record of guessing the right hotel.
