Hi,
Does anyone know if the Alamo at the Dolphin is open? I was hoping to drop our rental car off there before checking into Boardwalk.
Any other ideas if it’s closed?
Thanks!

It isn't open. Depending on the car rental agency you use, you can drop off at the Car Care Center, or at some hotels near Disney Springs.

I think it is still closed but why not give them a call closer to you travel dates, Dolphin's Alamo/National desk is (407) 934-4930.

You can drop your Alamo rental at the Disney Care Care Center. Make sure you understand the transportation options since the Disney Care Care center is not a scheduled Disney bus location.

Hi I searched and found this.. What are the options on getting away from the car care after dropping a car off? There has to be some kind of shuttle somewhere?

I think a few of the car rental companies there participate in a shuttle that will pick up/drop off anywhere on property including parks. I know National does, been picked up at parks and hotels and dropped as well. Shuttle is free but you do have to call about a week out to schedule I think.

OK thanks I’ll take a look. I just find it odd how if you have a car rental place literally in the middle of nowhere but they don’t have Regular service getting out. It’s kind of a scary thought you can get there Dropping a car off,but you can’t leave LOL

I think you’re mixing it up with the Tower of Terror 😝

Like the absolute worst that happens is you have to rideshare, not really a big deal. There isn’t nearly enough traffic to justify a stop for Disney transit.

Good point.. Uber it.. I am just spoiled the last 5 years we would drop the car off at the Dolphin and either boat to EP or take a bus to a park. was VERY convient. also had the gas station right there. Great bathsrooms to freshen up. Nice people... Now I miss the days of Disney pre-covid :(

We too for the first time had to deal with how do we LEAVE once dropping off a car. We always used either dolphin or car care center (do they NOT return you to hotels or parks NOW?) so no issue getting "home". This time we visited the dark side (A K A universal )first, so rented a car right at royal pacific. We then had to return it a few days later at Hilton I think it was- no transport! For our very first time ever we used lyft and it was great! Only cost about $12-15 with tip to get us back to wilderness lodge. We were given a quote online ahead of time so we knew about what to expect. Driver was there almost immediately and was very polite and car was very clean.

They have a shuttle and will take you back to your resort. We used it last week. I think the last one of the evening is at 6:30, however.
