Dollar Exppress with Choice Service at Orlando Airport - anyone use/try this yet?

I have a ressie with Dollar and so I joined the Dollar Express. I found this page: http://www.dollar.com/en/TravelCenter/TravelTools/ChoiceService.aspx

This is on it, and it sounds interesting:

Dollar EXPRESS members save even more time. Skip the counter and get your parking space number from our monitors. We’ll place your rental agreement in your vehicle, but if you want a different one, the choice is yours. Just take your hang tag from the rear view mirror with you and select any vehicle within the same car class.

So, I guess this means that I can skip the counter, go straight to my assigned car, and if I want a different car (in the class I paid for), I can switch to that one? Sweet!!

That sounds great. I made my reservation using my Dollar express membership for 7/11/13. Did you have to sign up some where to get this service or is it automatic for Dollar express members?

if either of you use this service , please post your experiences. I would be very interested in knowing how it goes, as it sounds very similar to the way Alamo does it , but without the monitors.

Ahhh, this makes so much sense to our December Dollar rental now.

We are Express members, as normal, we went to the Dollar kiosk in the garage to get our keys. She asked my name, and said "car is in spot #..., you can go right to it, you are all set".

We got to the car, keys were in it, packet was in it. We were on our way.

Of course on the way out they asked for the packet and my ID. But that was it.

I thought it was just their new process. I didn't notice any monitors but of course, I wasn't looking for them. So either this was new and monitors weren't installed yet, or I was oblivious and missed them.

Either way, this was great. And I didn't do anything special when making my reservation.

Hopefully someone can confirm what you are asking is what I experienced.

The way I read that page that I linked to, you do not have to sign up. It seems to be automatic if you are renting at one of the Choice Services Cities on the list on that page.

Non-Express: go to the counter then go pick your car

Express members: find your # on the monitor & go to your car; if you don't like that car, pick another from that class

Sounds wonderful ! But where are the monitors located? When you find out , do tell. I like to over plan and want all the details! Crazy , I know.

Thought it might be in the terminal somewhere , but the garage sounds like a good choice too. Recently ( as of June ) we have only used Dollar in the Tampa airport, where this service is not available. In the past we have always used Alamo, but Dollar seems to be priced better for Orlando now. Looks like we may be using them in September.

Any updates on this? Would love to just and look at a screen and go to my car! All signed up and got a great rate for a weekly rental and this would get use to Disney that much quicker!

We just did this last week. The monitors are right next to the booth in the garage. Went straight to our assigned car and to the exit. Didn't know u could swich cars but we were happy with our impala!
