Dollar car voucher

Hi

3 weeks today we will be at the Raddison Manchester watching the planes on the runway from our hotel bedroom, ready for the VS75 to Orlando. Trying to stay calm but its not working! We have booked our car with Dollar through Virgin holidays, we have received the tickets today but no car voucher. Travel agents say we just have to take the itinerary, but previously have had a voucher, just a little worried as I wouldn't like to have problems when we arrive. Anybody else just taken the itinerary.

Yes you need voucher.
I once arrived with no voucher, it was a nightmare, rental company said if I had no copy by the end of our 11 night stay we would be charged full local rate, its a few years back but had to get in touch with my travel agent (stopped using them after this do all myself now) and they said they would fax it to hotel. I rang numerous times cost me about $80 in calls. In the end I gave up, thought I would just have to pay and then sort it from UK. Took the car back and they had faxed it to rental company instead of me.
you have plenty of time to get it in 3 weeks but make sure you get it.

Thanks, been back to travel agents this morning, queried car rental voucer, she didn't say yes or no as to whether we need the voucher but is going to chase it up and call me later today. I told her everytime we have been we have been issued with a voucher.

If you get no luck with the TA then ring virgin, they will have all your details

Travel agents have been back in touch, couldn't apologise enough on behalf of the staff member who told DH the itinerary should just be shown. Virgin sending new car voucher. Lucky we have been before and queried this, I remember experiencing for the first time we went, immigration, green visa forms! collecting luggage, monorail, luggage then the car hire, the last thing you would need is problems at dollar.

Glad you are getting it sorted here before you go, Its the worst start to the holiday arriving without voucher, I never want to go thru that again, you just dont need it after an 8 hour flight.

I thought I hadn't had a voucher as well but found it eventually. It was only the bottom half of a sheet of paper in the VH itinerary. Don't really need it since we've booked car hire separately anyway!

Great news travel agents have sent the dollar car voucher. Dollars ordered will get them tomorrow, can't wait! Started putting things together even though it is 2 weeks tomorrow.

Just got the TC and $ this morning soooo excited. Day off work today so I'm still putting bits together and adding to my lists of what to pack for the Radisson, what to remember to take, shopping list for when we stop off at Walmart on the way to the villa. I have lists for everything! 2 weeks today we will be getting ready to set off the the Radisson, just rang them this morning to confirm we have rooms with a runway view (I just love watching the planes)

It gets exciting the nearer you get to going!! I have lists for everything, and loads of print-outs for different things to do and we still got 5 weeks to go!!
