Dollar Car Rental charging $100 one-way drop fee???

We've been waiting to book a minivan through Dollar for weeks now in the hopes that the price would go down closer to our departure date (Nov. 6). Previously, the cost of picking up at MCO, but dropping off at TPA was $25, and now suddenly its $100??!! Hoping its a mistake!
Anyone have any good rental deals for Nov. 6-14? We were looking at Dollar for $385.35 for 9 days, but now the rate is over $400 with the increase.

You can try Hertz. They have both a per mile rate and an unlimited milage rate when dropping off in another city.

It is definately getting more expensive to do this and car companies are looking at ways to increase revenue.

It is $374.00 including taxes and drop charge with Thrifty. It also includes free additional driver. Alamo does not charge a drop charge within state of florida but rates are much higher currently. Use corporate code 004m001010 which is the Orlando Magicard Promo. You may want to print card and bring it just in case. Shuttle is required for Thrifty.
