Dole Whips

Dole whips are great, and in my opinion, are best enjoyed as a snack along with an egg roll.

As for dipping pineapple in chocolate, I say go for a good caramel dip instead. They served skewered pineapple with caramel dipping sauce at O'hana and it is amazing!

Alas, they do not do this now.

This USED to be the "included dessert" with the evening family meal.

About 4-6 months ago (or so) they changed the menu.

No more skewered shrimp.
And no more pineapple with caramel dip!!!

This past November I got a Dole Whip float (vanilla Dole Whip with pineapple juice) for the first time. It was fabulous. The only thing was the size--it was huge! And, as I walked out of Frontier Land, sipping away at this gargantuan creation, a man looked at me and starting laughing and said, "No way could you finish that." I agreed. But then, I did finish it anyway. It's really that good.

Spectro..There are a couple of ice cream stands in RI that also serve Dole Whip. They are the kinds of places that are walk up window service with lots of kinds of ice cream/yogurt/sugar free, etc..., so it's out there! Maybe you should check your area next summer.
I do have to say that there's NO Dle Whip like Disney Dole Whip, tho!

I went to Oahu in October to see a friend of mine . One of the things we did was go to the Dole Plantation and as we were walking up to the gift shop I saw someone walk out with a DOLE WHIP !!!!! I was so excited I hadn't had one since our trip in August of "02 and we had just been in Aug "05 but never got the chance to get one . My friend just looked at me like I was nuts. Oh and at the end of the tour we got a chunk of fresh Pineapple it was so yummy.

We always get at least 2 of these each trip- they are delicious! Last time my husband got a rootbeer float instead, which he said was good too.

The floats are too much for me- the pineapple juice is too tart, so we just stick to the regurlar pineapple whips.
