Ok a few questions..

What in the heck are Dole Whips? I hear about them alot on the DIS

our flight arives at LAX at 130, blue shuttle then takes us to our hotel. Hopefully we can check in early, then take hotel shuttle to disneyland. How much time should I allow for all of this?

I put in ridemax 3 for our first ride and it starts us out at winnie the pooh.. what is that? I just randomly selected things lol

ahhhhhhhh :confused3

Dole Whips: yummy treat at the Tiki Bar next to the Tiki Room in Adventureland. I believe it is pineapple soft serve ice cream. Super good. You can get it on its own or as a Dole Whip Float.

Winnie the pooh is a ride in Critter Country. Unofficial starts you out there on a non-magic morning day too. Maybe because it is in the far corner of the park and you can work your way back? Just remember to pick up FPs on your way through the park. This is where we will start on our non-MM Sunday and work our way through Critter Country, NOS, Adventureland & Frontierland, back towards the center of the park.

Some people like the Pooh ride, others don't. I enjoy it b/c it's nice and cool and not too loud, and it bounces a bit.

Dole Whips...nothing ice cream about it. It's just a "soft serve frozen dessert". If you're interested, the ingredient list should be here. My family can't have it b/c of the artificial coloring and the corn syrup solids...someone avoiding all dairy derivatives would avoid it b/c of the caseinate (note: it's called, by Disney, a non-dairy dessert, but if your'e serious about NO dairy whatsoever, that's just a flat out lie). I felt it tasted like I imagine melted, pineapple-flavored plastic would taste like.

Hubby and son liked it, but they both had massive reactions b/c of the corn syrup solids (that "food" was what caused us to realize that c.s.s. were "out" for them).

What hotel are you staying in, and what is the blue shuttle?

ok sounds good. I thought it was a meet and great.. which would be ok.. just was not sure if thats where I wanted to start our magical journey but will do :)

Were staying at the Motel 6.. I know I know.. but its suposidly all redone.. and if I had to choose between staying at motel 6 or not going to disney.. Id stay at motel 6 lol

the blue shuttle is the van that will pick us up from the airport and bring us to the hotel.

We stayed at the Motel 6 last year, and it wasn't bad. We had a great view (4th floor in the back - we could see the fireworks from outside our room), and it was clean and the beds were decently comfortable. We couldn't have asked for much more for what we were paying for it.

I want to try this Dole Whip thing this year! lol

i remember the used to sell fresh pineapple at the tiki room 15 yrs ago. cant wait to try the dole whip

im sure ill gain 10lbs with all the yummy things

lol
vicky

You can get pineapple there. We love Dole Whips, but we don't have any problems eating dairy or corn syrup solids so there ya go. :) DBF likes the Dole Whip Float, it's pineapple juice topped with a whip, DD9 and I get a Dole Whip and share, DD13 has a bite or four, it's very big but they leave the middle empty so it's not quite as big as it looks. :)

The Pooh ride is fun, we like it. It's kind of relaxing and it's fun to see all the neat effects they used. It's a very "simple" ride but it's one of the good ones. Way back over by Splash, which is good, you can get your first FP as Splash Mtn. :)

I don't know what the blue shuttle is, sorry, we drive to DL. I've heard good things about that Motel 6 but I've never stayed there. Have fun!!!!!!

i have stayed at the motel 6 three times now. I can say with the utmost confidence, do not expect anything. There is little to no service, the rooms lack dressers and shelves and the pillows are flat and uncomfortable. If you don't mind this and remember what it is... (a room to spend the night in), it is hard to beat the price.

The dole whips are amazing!

Winnie the Pooh is ok but I have a hard time getting behind that being a first ride of the day. It is usually pretty slow all day.

I agree with the previous posters.....we would probably never choose to ride Pooh first. But when my DD was 3....that was her FAVORITE ride. Seeing how much she loved it made me really love it too. I think it would be a great way to start your DL trip, that is, if you can make it all the way back there without getting distracted and stopping to ride something else :-)

I adjusted some things in Ridemax and now we start at jungle cruse. lol

The Dole Whip is a must try and the Dole Whip Floats are even better!

I thought the Pooh ride was cute but definitely not sure if I'd want to start off there. I would have to agree that the Jungle Cruise would be a much better ride to start off with.

Hope you have a great trip! :)

Definately try the dole whip at the tiki room!

Jungle Cruise is a better way to start off your day in the park!

I would much rather start the day off with an ice cream or some candy anyways. hehe, thats just me tho.
