So excited for our first family trip in Sept. As soon as The trip is over we will be trying for baby no. 2! My parents are getting an exchange student this year and thought it would be fun to take her to Disney. They invited us to go along but, if all goes according to plan, I will be pregnant when they decide to go. What would I realistically be able to do at Disney while pregnant? I know the shows aren't a problem but the gentle rides like it's a small world... I tried looking on Disney's web site but they don't have a comprehensive list. Does anyone know where I could find one or has anyone gone to Disney while pregnant and can share their experiences? Thanks for any and all advice!!!

I was in my first trimester of a high-risk pregnancy when we went in 09. The rides have signs/warnings and will say if a pregnant person should not ride.

Pregnant women should not ride BTMR, Splash Mountain. Mine Train wasn't open yet and SM was shut down but I imagine a preggo person should also stay off them.

What I DID:
Magic Carpet Ride
Buzz Lightyear (my fave!)
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Winnie the Pooh
Peter Pan
Dumbo
Tikki Room
Stitch's Great Escape
Monster's Inc Laugh Floor
Tom Sawyer Island
Maelstrom (in Epcot)
*Hall of Presidents, Carousel of Progress, and Liberty Bell Cruise COULD have been done, I just didn't get the chance.

Really there was plenty for me to ride, even though some rides were off-limits.

Hope this helps!

I've gone twice while pregnant. This last time I was almost 20 weeks and one of our friends who came was also pregnant. We rode all the rides pp suggested and also did the safari ride at ak. There is plenty to do... but as an aside neither of us are high risk either. When you get to that point you can talk to your dr about it and decide what's best for you.

I was 7 weeks pregnant last time we visited the World.

I rode everything (yes, everything), but I admit I wouldn't do Space Mountain again pregnant. It felt rough...

I went when I was pregnant with #1. My doctor is really strict and told me NO RIDES :(. I did go on one of the really slow rides but my doctor had me so nervous that it wasn't any fun. It was just DH and I that trip so I let him go on what he wanted and otherwise we just did shows and looking around. There is still lots to do, there are always things to see. I didn't have much energy or tolerance for the heat, so we didn't wind up staying at the parks long anyway.

edited- I had said I went on the Snow White ride, but now I'm wondering if that was even it. It was a really slow old ride, definitely NOT the new coaster type Seven Dwarfs ride!

I went in December at 28 weeks and I had a great time. I rode everything except the coasters and other rides with warnings. I did a lot of meet and greets while my sister and friends were doing mountains, etc. I also took extra snack/water breaks in CS restaurants during rides i couldn't do. Probably the most "frustrating" park was DHS bc I had to miss RnR, ToT, and Star Tours...the majority of the headliners. If you are going to skip the safari (I didn't) then I imagine AK would be frustrating too.

The only thing I noticed was that my legs got more tired than usual by the end of the day, probably bc of the extra weight they were carrying around! I exercised throughout my pregnancy and was in really good shape, but my leg muscles were definitely sore, and that was something new! Take lots of sitting breaks :-)
