No matter where we go we always seem to end up doing a little Disney.
This summer's vacation took us to the San Francisco area for a little R&R. Of course we did, and will continue to do, the basic Bay Area activities which are always enjoyable. This time we had to sneak in a few moments with our Disney family.
First activity, we traveled to Napa Valley and visited the Silverado Vineyards which is owned by Ron and Diane Miller, daughter and son-in-law of Walt Disney. The property is spectacular nestled in the valley of wine country. And if you did not know the Disney family are the proprietors of this winery you would not catch a clue of the history of this place, except for one small poster of Ratatouille in the lobby.
Then of course we visited the Disney Family Museum in the Presidio. What a joy to follow the life of Walt Disney, both the good and enjoyable times of his life and the rough and agonizing side of business. And of course the tears came as we entered the tiny room where his passing is chronicled.
Just a minor trip report to share. Thanks for listening.
