Dogs in Wedding?

Does anyone know anything about Disney's stance on dogs in the wedding ceremony? Or at least in photo shoots taking place outside the parks? I have a Bernese Mountain Dog (Maddax :dog2: ) that I want there, and was wondering if I could bring him. Please help!

Also, if Disney doesn't allow dogs in the ceremony/photos, what is everyone's opinion on the whole idea? I love my BMD like a child and want him to be a part of the goings-on. Thanks!

Last I had heard, Disney didn't allow any animals to be part of the wedding ceremony.

I'm not sure what their stance is about doing photos with them around the resorts, I haven't seen that question asked before.

They also told me no dogs at the wedding. I'm not sure about the resorts, though. I do know that Disney has a kennel on property you can keep your dog in.

I called b/c I wanted my little bichon in the wedding and they dont allow it.. So I am hoping to take pics with her outside

Unfortunately, I don't think that will be possible. Dogs (or pets of any kind) are not allowed to even stay in any of the resorts, I imagine they won't allow them there even just for pictures.

Personally, I wish they would. I would have loved to have my dogs with me!

Man... I know Disney is oh so accomodating for many things - seems like if you signed a waiver or something and made sure they were cleaned up after, they would at least allow them around the resorts for photos. This is just mildly depressing news...no Maddax. Well, maybe I'll just have to get engagement photos done here at home or something...

Since we are taking our baby....our boxer named Gillian...I took a photo of her...laminated two of them and I will have one hanging from my flowers and my DF will have one pinned on his suit. We wanted her a part of our wedding in someway.

The only way I think you could do it was if you had some pictures taken at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. You can have dogs there and there is a Disney run kennel there. If you haven't been, it has really beautiful gradens and canals I think it would be terrific for pictures and since dogs are allowed in certain areas there I am sure you could get pics with your Bernese.

Side note...my mother has a one year old berner, Libby, that she keeps saying needs to be in our wedding. I can only imagine 90 lbs Libby barreling down the aisle and knocking me over :lmao:! She is a great dog but an big girl who thinks she is a lap dog! My parents will actually be staying at FW durring the wedding week so they can bring their dogs.

Good Luck!

I'm not sure where Maddax would fit into the ceremony if we were ever allowed to have him there. I could see where his 125 pound frame would be a problem if he got out of control!! I forgot that FW allows animals, so that might be an idea. Next year when I visit I might have to take a look around and take some photos of good photo-op spots to remind myself. Thanks for reminding me!
