We are arriving at the Yacht Club September 2020. This is our twelfth visit with a few changes over the years as less hair and gray color abounds. Also underwent a Laryngectomy witch in layman,s terms I now breath through a hole in my neck. I have learnt that dog's are allowed to stay on site. This is not the problem, Was wondering do they use a specific block of rooms to house the guest's with pets or is it any room any where. My problem is I no longer have any natural filtration and use small airway cartridge's and foam flaps, If I breath in a significant amount of pet hairs I may end up having to be hospitalised as my air way could end up compromised. Any thoughts or help will be gladly considered or will I be better moving to a different hotel that has no dogs staying. That would be a shame as we stayed at Beach Club about 4 years ago and loved the location.

Please call Disney to explain your serious medical condition. I have a mild allergy to dogs and every time I've stayed at the Yacht, I've always called to "beg" for a deep clean and to be put in a room where no dogs had stayed the night before. Truth be told, I have not seen any dog at the Yacht during my previous visits, but it is a pain having to worry about dogs. YC used to be one of my favorite resorts, but it is becoming less and less attractive now.

I would ask for the allergy deep clean as others suggested and let them know why. However, I also wanted to help put your mind at ease in that I doubt the room even with a regular clean would be full of hair. I have never seen one that is and I have stayed at the YC several times. My dad has had a laryngectomy for 30 years and has not had an issue from dog hair. Dry air and cold air are issues. Water (of course) and dust/dirt flying in the air. You could potentially wear a loose cover/stoma shield as well. Hope you have a great trip and no issues!

Thank you all for the prompt reply's. Consensus seems to be go with the deep clean, Would anybody know how to get in touch with Yacht Club as I can not find address anywhere to request a deep clean and other preferences (room on high floor). Momtomouselover, Glad to hear your father is doing well as this gives me a good outlook on life (30years+). I always wear a clip in filter during the day and foam filters at night to give skin a break from the adhesive. Never found any problems with the air being dry during last visit and you may find the air cold but to me it is positively tropic. Again thanks to all for advice and reply's

Your best bet is to call the Main Reservation line and add those requests to your reservation. That's what I do when our niece with severe allergies travels with us. You might have to wait a little longer for the room to be ready, but so worth it.
