doggie bags?

I did a search but couldn't find anything.

When dining with the myw plan, are you allowed to take leftovers out? Do they frown on that sort of thing? I am a big late night snacker, and we are gonna have a ton of food left over, i just know it. I also hate to waste, so i figured that leftover dinner would make a perfect late night snack in the room.

I am mainly asking about sit down places, but wonder if counter service will provide a box as well?

Thanks Mucho!

Although I've never done it myself, I've read quite a few posts here on the boards about people taking the food they couldn't finish with them, and I don't recall anyone ever having a problem with it. The only reason we've never done this is because we're usually not going back to our room right after a meal.

That would be a lot of extra trips back and forth to the room, and if your room doesn't have a fridge you would have to rent one to keep the food fresh, then no microwave to heat it up.

Personally, we would rather spend the few bucks to get the snack fresh later, rather than waste so much time trying to preserve something that will probably be soggy by the time we eat it again anyway.

Except at buffets, you can take a doggie bag, no problem.

Like the others have said, it also sounds like a setup for food poisoning. The only time we'll take "leftovers" is if we are going right back to our room that has a fridge. No microwave needed, my teenage son LOVES cold leftoevers ;)

Many times in the past we have had the resturant package our dessert for us and we would eat it later, either back in our room that night or with a cup of coffee for breakfast the next morning! :goodvibes

well, i am thinking more about dessert than anything...we are big eaters, but sometimes dessert right after our meal is a little much, kwim?

I've done this lots of times, both left overs from meals, and when I'm too full for dessert, but I know I'll want it later (or for breakfast-one morning, I had Sticky Toffee Pudding from R&C). When I go solo, staying at BCV, I spend most of my time in Epcot. After dinner, if I have left-overs, I just run back to my room and throw it in the refrigerator. I've had no problem at many Epcot returaunts-Chef's de France, R&C, Morocco, etc.

I've done it too. Actually, the waiter asked me if I wanted a doggy bag. Since I wasn't going back to the hotel and also had no place to keep it I turned the offer down (although the room was cool enough I'm sure it would have been okay...my fingers turned blue and I was shivering the first night I was there and I'm from Canada and used to the cold  That was just a touch too cold for me though. At least I had a walk-in fridge in my room.) ;)
