Doesn't SS have a direct grocery order?

I remember during the tour our guide showed us a printed list of things that they could buy and stock in our fridge on the day of arrival....did they stop doing it or if they do did anyone here ever use the service? I was thinking it would be a great thing..unless of course they are more expensive than gg.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Melissa;)

I don't know if the DVC properties offer this service, although they well may, but my guess is that you'd be paying Disney prices for groceries, which wouldn't be cheap!!!!

There are some non-Disney shopping services (wegoshop.com is one that comes to mind) that do this at what is probably a more nominal cost.

There are also a couple of regular grocery stores close by (Publix and Winn Dixie). DH & I actually enjoy going to the grocery store on vacation...I know, we're weird!!! ;)

The grocery lists for all 7 DVC's are on the member website. Alternatively, I've seen threads of people using wegoshop or garden grocer at the 5 on site DVC's.

We are members of BW yes they will put these into your ref cost is high and you can you would like not get everything.

Have a great vacation   party: party: party: party:

It depends on the quanity and types of foods you want. The resorts stores, for their size, have a good selection, but brands/sizes are very limited.

Here is a link to the SSR Grocery List pdf file. It is on the dvc member site, under Vacation Planning, in case the link doesn't work or requires a login.

Has anyone hopped a taxi to the grocery stores? Don't know exactly how close the stores are, but was wondering if that might be a less expensive option than delivery charges, premium prices, etc. (if they aren't too far away.....). Just curious.

Oh thank you for your quick replies! Yes that is the list that the guide showed us...and yes it is expensive and very limited. I too am interested in cab info...how close is SS to the Publix or Winn Dixie? I don't think we will have a car...or I am trying to avoid it because a mini van is what we need and it looks really expensive for just 4 days. I don't need a lot of things...just bare essentials...

Again many thanks for the input!

It would most likely be less expensive to use a service like Garden Grocer or Wegoshop than to hire a taxi. The closest grocery store to SSR is Goodings in the Crossroads Center, but they are a very expensive grocery store, only marginally cheaper than the resort.

I used a taxi service in Jan to get to Winn Dixie. Taxi driver was nice and let me use his club card and helped with groceries. Cost was around $45 with tip. Next time we're using a grocery service. More planning but I'll probably only use taxi in case of illness or emergency. Did you know if your sick, Disney will get a doctor to come to your room? I heard a CM telling a guy that at VWL. They'd didn't get to use it because they were flying out that day. I thought that was a pretty nice service they should tell their guests about.
