when ever i go to the new frontierland and the sci fie thing some how it just doesn't feel like vmk any more :confused3 does anyone else have this feeling? i mean yeah the new stuff is cool but the water ride? the tom maze has a slide and thats not vmk like. anyone miss the beta days? :guilty: i no i do

Only miss it somewhat. It does have a little different feel but I like it. I think if we stick around and VMK sticks around we will see many changes come and go.

I find it just simply bizarre talking to people, how much real life imitates vmk.

Ok, i am generalizing and not all people feel this way, but the majority of people i have spoken to who do not like the new feel of vmk happen to also be people who live in the midwest to west coast, and frequent disneyland. On the other hand, people who love the changes and want vmk to be even bigger are, you guessed it, "mostly" eastern midwest (if that makes sense) to east coasters who frequent disney world.

People who like the charming size and features of disneyland over disney worlds massive growth tend to like the smaller vmk and beta days. Others want a sort of a massive online world where there are just endless areas to exlpore, and those people seem to frequent and prefer disney world.

Again,(before i get 85 people chiming in that "i go to disneyland and i like the changes" or vice versa) i say mostly, this doesnt apply to everyone. It's just odd the people that i have talked to that either want no changes to size, or many more changes, seem to also fall into the disneyland/ disney world categories as well.

it does has a different feel. vmk has basically doubled in size, if not more. And I think vmk will go the route of disney world in the end, with just SO much stuff to check out that you really cant do it all regularly. I think that is what they wanted, more area to spread out the peeps, although everyone is now gathering in the haunted mansion lobby, until other games even come close to paying in the same ballpark.

When on the VMK tour last month, our guide explained that the Adventureland and Fantasyland pieces mirror the West coast (DL), but that Frontierland was being designed based on WDW things.
Maybe the next upgrade will be based on DLPR or TDL. Only time will tell.

I agree Mike...I too an East Caoster love the "NEW"and improved VMK the bigger the better!

Wish WDW would add a Villians PArk! WOOT!

I'm a west coaster, but I love the new and improved VMK too! It keeps things interesting!

I like the new areas to explore, even though I think Frontierland's maze is
evil. (Anyone know how to get to Tom Sawyer island??)

I'm smack dab in the middle of the country (Chicago is still considered
Midwest), but I'm more of a WDW visitor. :)

I love the new and improved VMK. I wish I had more!! I just love to explore the new areas.

When is MGM and EPCOT coming? Could you imagine, no housework would get done!

It is not too hard once you have followed someone there! :) Three keys are:
1) Use the right tunnel entrance to start.
2) If you exit through the same way you entered an area you may not end up in the same place you came from.
3) Sliding down the waterfall is the part that most people miss.

:wave2: Hi, Briar! I see you! ;)

I've only been to WDW myself.

When I did the tour in July this year, I recall them telling us Fantasyland was based on DLPR. :confused3
