Does VGF have its own check in?

Is there a dedicated check-in desk for the DVC at Grand Floridian, or do you check in at the front desk for the Grand Flo?

VGF does have a check-in area, but it does not operate 24/7. If the hours are similar to BLT, it might be open from 7 AM to 10 PM.

It's not the traditional front desk, there are 3 or 4 individual desks.

and AWESOME. Even if you room is not ready they will go over everything with you, and will text your phone when it is ready. In our case we requested a certain area for the studio. We got a call while waiting (30 min later) for the room to be ready and were asked if we wouldn't mind a different room that would not be facing the Poly construction zone, especially since we were going to be there a week. After sensing, hesitation in my voice the CM highly encourage me to take the offer. We did and it was definitely the thing to do as we had an end studio on the second third floor with views of the MK and the lake, no Poly const in sight. Service throughout the week was above the other resorts we had stayed at (see signature). Only gripe is the CS is VERY far away unless the pool CS is open.

I usually like to take a walk early morning and refill my coffee mug, even though there is coffee in the studio...So, GASPARILLA is a "walk" from VGF?
I am assuming it is in Grand Resort, right?
So, is there anywhere else to refill morning coffee early?

The CMs are awesome at VGF. We checked in at 8am one morning, they texted us 3 hours later and fulfilled every request we had. End unit studio! We can sit out on our balcony and watch the tops of fireworks. Love it!

Hoping for about 2:00! Earlier would be NICE!

Just an FYI

The personal service is nice but the CM's at VGF do not assign the rooms. They are the middle men between you and the GF who does the room assigning and most of the front desk operations.

Yes Gasparilla is on the opposite side of the resort past the Grand Floridian Cafe in the main building. No place else when we were there for refills unless the pool bar is open.
