So I've decided today lol that I'd like to take my kids to Universal Studios for July 2006.

I'm trying to work out figures and wanted to see what you think.

July 9-16
Royal Pacific for 4 days w/ preferred annual pass rate- $660 ( just guessing as I don't know how much the tax is over there) $229 a night rate w/ 30% discount

$185 preferred annual pass for one person
$321.54 for 2 kids for the 4 park flex ticket
$150.00 ? for dh's 4 park flex ticket
60.00 seaworld for me
200.00 gas
1500.00 food/souvenirs
700.00 3 days nick hotel ( again just guessing on price)= 3,776.54

I know I'll be able to get some discount on food so my food price could be cheaper. I was thinking 1500.00 for food/souvenirs because that's what I'm spending for my trip at WDW. We've never been to US before. I did buy the universal studios book. Do you think the budget is about right? I also have a AAA card if that matters. Would the entertainment book be worth buying?

Why would you want to leave the Royal Pacific for the Nick Hotel. Break up trip by going back and forth to Seaworld and Universal. Also include $7.00 per night for parking at Hotel. Food should run about $ 150 per day. Don't know much about flex tickets. You do get 10% - 15% off food with Annual Pass and 10% off the Shops at Universal. Good luck and have fun.

Well, I was only planning to have 4 days at US/IOA. Then once we move to the Nick Hotel..we were just planning to go to Seaworld and hang around the hotel. I know my kids would love going there( huge nick fans!)

eta: Would us/ioa be doable in3 days instead of 4? My kids will be doing the rides. I doubt I'll be able to ride any good rides (spiderman/shrek/mummy,etc) unless I invite my mom to come and help out.
