Does this sound like a difficult vacation?

I'm looking for accomodations for 12/24-30 after my other accomodations have fallen through. Then I read that Xmas week is really hard for Disney, and often they will close parks. I have an AP, will they not let me in either?

I'm also thinking of plan B. Well on my budget, I could afford a studio in that time frame, and 1 night of a one bedroom. So if I did 3 nights of studio, move 1 night of one BR then do 2 nights of studio, then move into my one BR which I have registered on points for the rest of the 2 week vacation, would this seem too complicated?

What would you do? Currently my vacation is 12/24 - 01/03. But I only have res. on points 12/30-01/03. Just need to figure out what the best stay is; my remainder time will be a cash stay (which they still had available as of last week).

Your scenario would have you changing resorts 3 times during your vacation. This is not easy, but considering it is high season you may be lucky to even obtain that.

I would recommend making a plan asap, however. I would be surprised to find DVC Resort availability for 12/24-30 at this late date.

The parks will be closed when they reach capacity, which often happens around Christmas. If you are a WDW resort guest, you will be directed to another park (usually Animal Kingdom) where you will be able to gain entrance. No consideration is offered to AP holders in this regard, just WDW resort guests. So arrive early and plan on staying where you go. Just be aware that it will be very congested with long lines. Do DVC people still get in or just guests at the Hotels?

If you are a resort guest, whether DVC at WDW or any other WDW resort, you will be directed to a park. It might not be the park you choose, but you will be allowed to enter a park. However, if all parks fill up, no one will be allowed to enter. Being a DVC member does not automatically get you entrance to the parks. You have to be staying at a WDW resort.
